Run, don't walk to this amazing neighborhood gem! We stumbled upon it having been out of luck for a last minute reservation in Downtown Sonoma and we are SO HAPPY we did! Service from Kimberly was outstanding and the food was genuinely out of this world. So authentic and flavorful. Miss the arancini at your peril, they're epic. Bread is baked fresh daily too. Such a wonderful husband and wife team running a truly great family restaurant. We will be back.

The food is always good. Relaxing, familiar atmosphere. Not elegant. Casual and very satisfying.

Love this place! Great spot to bring the kids - grab an affordably priced Italian red, and enjoy some traditional Italian food. Loved the Melanzane (eggplant).

Our group has the best dinner here! The owner/chef and his wife, who was our server, were the nicest people. Every single dish we ordered was amazing and we were treated to top notch service!

The service we received was over the top .. Friendly .. professional .. helpful .. informative ..responsive. The menu was pretty diverse, so, none of the 6 of us had any difficulty finding 'our' food. I will definitely dine here again. I feel confident in recommending Mama's to others.

Theh place was PACKED - thank goodness we had an outdoor table! The petrale sole was good, as was the carbonara. But the bolognese was VERY good, and the pork chop (one of the evening's specials) was outstanding, according to our guests. We all enjoyed a variety of the fresh salads as well. The waiter was attentive to all his many customers.

It had been a while since we visited Mamma Tanino's. It will not be as long next time. My wife had the filet of sole special and I went with the pear and gorgonzola salad along with Katarina's Vitellina, which is sautéed veal scaloppini w/artichokes, mushrooms, and capers in lemon white wine sauce, accompanied with vegetables and scalloped potatoes. All three dishes were plentiful and delicious. We arrived early but the restaurant was filled when we left so reservations are necessary. This is a special local spot that is family owned and operated. Food is made to order so expect a leisurely dining experience.

I have eating dinner here every week for several years; I look forward to more. They are like family.

What a charming spot! Service was amazing, and food was incredible! The location is unusual, as it's in a little strip mall next to the Sonoma market, but that didn't affect the ambience. Both of our entrees were delicious as was the Cesar salad. Can't wait to come back again!

While Mamma Tanino's is hiding in the corner of a small shopping center, when you walk inside, you could be in a bistro in a charming little town somewhere in Italy. But when Kim welcomes you and Gaetano cooks for you, a sense of being in the dining room of Mamma Tanino's home is what you taste!

Mama Tanino's is such a wonderful place to dine! The food is genuinely authentic Italian. As if you've come across a divine little trattoria in Italy and are served the best dishes you've ever tasted. The husband and wife team of Gaetano and Kim make your experience fun, friendly and delicious! Just go and eat and thank me later.

Mamma Tanino's was an absolute delight. Kim and Gaetano treated us so well. The food was spectacular, but the customer service was better than great. Kim was a gem, welcoming us and treating us like family. Gaetano (her hubband, owner and chef also came by to greet us and tell us about his family and background). All in all look forward to visiting them every time we're in Sonoma.

Great food...chairs not comfortable but do offer cushions. Atmosphere cozy. Owners very attentive and pleasant.
