Mary's pizza is prob my favorite pizza place in Sonoma. They also have an amazing chicken sandwich!

I have been a long time customer of Mary's Pizza Shack. For over 40 years the food has been consistently good and high quality. I ordered take out from Mary's at our Plaza location two nights ago and what a shock! The large Mary's special salad was hardly large. The lettuce was partially brown and it had virtually no vegetables - beets, carrots, mushrooms. I ordered four hot dogs. In the past these have been fairly large Miller's hot dogs wrapped in cheese and then pizza dough. The hot dogs were so small and the pizza dough was burnt. I cannot tell you how disappointed and dissatisfied I was. The cost for 4 small dogs and a salad was over $60. It is too bad the restaurant has taken such a downhill turn.

This is my kind of pizza shack! Clearly we didn't stop in for atmosphere, with its wide open dining area and very high ceiling, the sound really bounces around, but when it comes to food this is where you want to be. The open faced meatball sandwich is truly a meal! Those enormous house made meatballs are just the right size for the fresh sourdough bread, add the fresh melted mozzarella and red sauce and your in heaven!. Apparently sandwiches are in their wheelhouse, they also serve one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I have ever had. Layered cheeses with a bit of sauce squeezed in between the grilled sourdough bread was the best I have ever had. Add a side salad and your set. Although the server seemed to take a while to warm up, overall the service was good. This is a great place for lunch. Cheers!

We stopped here because we didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg at other restaurants in the square. We got three meals each out of a lunch menu item! They come with a soup or salad as well so this is for sure the place to go to stretch your dollar. The food was just okay but satisfied my empty stomach. They have indoor and protected outdoor seating as well.Vegetarian options: They are happy to make any dish vegetarian if you want but they do not have what you would consider "vegetarian options." I still really liked it here and its affordable food.Parking: It depends where you park and day of the week but there is 2 hour parking and paid parking. It was raining a lot and we were able to get a close spot without problem.

Best bartender in town, Rashelle. She is friendly, knowledgeable and makes a mean Lemon Drop ??. In fact the entire staff and management are spectacular.

I'm sorry to say the to-go experience is consistently disappointing (based off of over a dozen delivery orders in the last couple years). They 90% of the time will forget to include the side sauces, even if you call after placing your order to confirm the order was received correctly. Also, it's best to order the thin crust option, otherwise crust will take up 1/3 of the pizza. I like Mary's in general, but have had better experiences at other locations.

Visiting Sonoma for the first time and found Mary's inviting. Not knowing the restaurant and getting great initial service about the menu, I asked our server Nineveh if this was a family owned business and if she was part of the family? She was not, although her attention was fantastic! The meatball sandwich was a fulfilling meal and small pizza was delicious. Reasonably priced and relaxing environment sitting outside near the fireplace. A true 5 star experience!

I popped into Mary's on the plaza to see my family on my break during my 12 hour shift in the ER. Francis, the manager, realized and he sent me with all of the night's leftover pizza from Slice Shack to the Sonoma Valley Hospital night shift. Now that's community! As usual, I got exceptional and quick service at the bar tables from Rochelle and everyone who checked in on us, including the staff that cooked our wings. Thank you Mary's Pizza, so appreciated!!

Perfectly good, family friendly restaurant. Finally got around to trying Mary's Pizza Shack. Walked in and we were immediately greeted with a smile. Sat in the back, towards the kitchen. Basic, standard, kid friendly menu, with lots of options. Dude and I shared: - Caesar salad - basic, classic, exactly as expected (side salad came with pasta) - Penne w/ sausage and mushrooms - fine, nothing to write home about, again as expected - Mozzarella garlic bread - tasty, but wished there'd been more mozzarella, there was a generous amount of oregano - Hawaiian Caliente Pizza - exactly what a wanted, ordered on thin crust, it was the right amount of sweet and spicy, would order again This is a manage your expectations kid of place. I don't have kids, but knew this would be family friendly and there were many well-behaved kids with their families. I knew that I wasn't going to be blown away but that I would likely leave satisfied and I did. Friendly service, quick, affordable, and right on the square.

We love their Mary's small salad with all the toppings. I think their pizza is the best in town. Beautifully crunchy crust and a chewy texture and not the bread dough. Their sourdough cheeseburgers with grilled onions are the Bomb! The restaurant on the square with the enclosed front patio with large crank open windows is great for people watching. There's a beautiful gas fire place and overhead heat lamps to keep the chill of during the cooler months. Of course the staff are attentive and friendly. We have cut back from going as much as we'd like to but everything had gotten so expensive. Nots a bit noisy due to the high ceilings but much quieter on the patio.

For a very long time, years actually , I have been wanting to go to a Mary's Pizza Shack. We were spending a few days in Sonoma and I finally had the opportunity to bite into the deliciousness of a fresh hand tossed pizza. The pizza was sooo good and the Minastrone as well. I wish we could have saved room for dessert. I guess we just have try dessert next time we are in Sonoma which can't be soon enough.

Good, classic pizza place. I like coming to Mary's because it's family friendly and the quality has always been really good for the pizza. I also really enjoy their house red wine. I will say, the other dishes are a toss up. Their ravioli was good but their salads and children's hotdog were disappointing. Also, when we have gone the service is lacking. Everyone is friendly, but once the food is dropped off the waiters/waitresses don't really come around to check on you and it usually takes a while to get the check.
