I'm sorry to say the to-go experience is consistently disappointing (based off of over a dozen delivery orders in the last couple years). They 90% of the time will forget to include the side sauces, even if you call after placing your order to confirm the order was received correctly. Also, it's best to order the thin crust option, otherwise crust will take up 1/3 of the pizza. I like Mary's in general, but have had better experiences at other locations.

I popped into Mary's on the plaza to see my family on my break during my 12 hour shift in the ER. Francis, the manager, realized and he sent me with all of the night's leftover pizza from Slice Shack to the Sonoma Valley Hospital night shift. Now that's community! As usual, I got exceptional and quick service at the bar tables from Rochelle and everyone who checked in on us, including the staff that cooked our wings. Thank you Mary's Pizza, so appreciated!!

Perfectly good, family friendly restaurant. Finally got around to trying Mary's Pizza Shack. Walked in and we were immediately greeted with a smile. Sat in the back, towards the kitchen. Basic, standard, kid friendly menu, with lots of options. Dude and I shared: - Caesar salad - basic, classic, exactly as expected (side salad came with pasta) - Penne w/ sausage and mushrooms - fine, nothing to write home about, again as expected - Mozzarella garlic bread - tasty, but wished there'd been more mozzarella, there was a generous amount of oregano - Hawaiian Caliente Pizza - exactly what a wanted, ordered on thin crust, it was the right amount of sweet and spicy, would order again This is a manage your expectations kid of place. I don't have kids, but knew this would be family friendly and there were many well-behaved kids with their families. I knew that I wasn't going to be blown away but that I would likely leave satisfied and I did. Friendly service, quick, affordable, and right on the square.

We love their Mary's small salad with all the toppings. I think their pizza is the best in town. Beautifully crunchy crust and a chewy texture and not the bread dough. Their sourdough cheeseburgers with grilled onions are the Bomb! The restaurant on the square with the enclosed front patio with large crank open windows is great for people watching. There's a beautiful gas fire place and overhead heat lamps to keep the chill of during the cooler months. Of course the staff are attentive and friendly. We have cut back from going as much as we'd like to but everything had gotten so expensive. Nots a bit noisy due to the high ceilings but much quieter on the patio.

For a very long time, years actually , I have been wanting to go to a Mary's Pizza Shack. We were spending a few days in Sonoma and I finally had the opportunity to bite into the deliciousness of a fresh hand tossed pizza. The pizza was sooo good and the Minastrone as well. I wish we could have saved room for dessert. I guess we just have try dessert next time we are in Sonoma which can't be soon enough.

Good, classic pizza place. I like coming to Mary's because it's family friendly and the quality has always been really good for the pizza. I also really enjoy their house red wine. I will say, the other dishes are a toss up. Their ravioli was good but their salads and children's hotdog were disappointing. Also, when we have gone the service is lacking. Everyone is friendly, but once the food is dropped off the waiters/waitresses don't really come around to check on you and it usually takes a while to get the check.

Great service, delicious food! Given that we were only in town for a few hours (and with our 8 year old daughter), finding a spot was becoming a challenge due to a lack of kid friendly options. Until....we walked by Mary's and got a friendly greeting at the front door, and we glanced at the menu. The menu was quite family-friendly both on choices and price. We were promply led into what felt like Mary's dining room along with other patrons. We were all quite pleased with our entreés and recommendations from our server. This place was a great find for us in Sonoma and certainly one that will be revisited when back in the area. **Our visit was on 11/22

Ordered the garlic chicken pizza. Delicious! Day outside by the fire. Nice and toasty.

We came here for a nice lunch and we were highly disappointed. Here is everything that went wrong 1) they call themselves a " Italian pizza place" when they don't even have a margarita pizza! 2) the salad. This was, Sonoma a place with great produce. I ordered a Cobb salad just to be highly disappointed. This salad had old, old,and old lettuce and tomatoes. The avocados were brown. The chicken and bacon were cold and flavorless. Expensive, and horrible, not the way I want to spend my money. 3) the pizza. I ordered a cheese pizza and it was terrible. This pizza was packed with multiple types of cheese, The tomato sauce was sweet and lumpy, and was distributed poorly. The crust was actually surprisingly really good. Not to say, the slices were really small. Also the food took a while to come out. Expensive and trashy, not a way I want to spend my money. 4) the pros. The waiters were nice, and the beer was good. The bread sticks were highly delicious as well. The atmosphere was nice, and they had creative decorations. Overall, this was an expensive and horrible place. I highly recommend for you to spend your precious money somewhere else.

Affordable place to eat when at Sonoma Plaza. The best part was that on a Sunday night there wasn't a wait. It has the old school pizza parlor vibe which is cool. I made my own pizza, which was tasty, and pretty much what you would expect to get.

We went a few weeks ago for lunch. Service was horrible. Had to wait over 10 minutes at our table for someone to come over. There was plenty of staff and it was not busy at all. Staff was more concerned hanging out at the back in kitchen chit chatting and laughing. And the food was not much better.

Love this place! Super cute ambiance. Our server was fantastic. Prices are excellent for this area. Ordered the personal pizza (bambino) and it was plenty to share for two people. We got the garden ranch pie add bacon. Sooooo good! Just your classic local Italian fare.

Marry's Pizza Shack has been a nice little find. I'm always on the hunt for good, non big chain pizza places, and Mary's didn't disappoint. Their dough is pretty good, they always give plenty of toppings, and I've also had their pasta which was also surprisingly pretty good. It's definitely become a regular spot in this household. The only downsides I have is that sometimes it's hard to order. One day I couldn't get through on the phone, their online ordering was down, so the only way we could place an order was through doordash. I usually like to try to order directly since doordash takes a cut. Also the times I have picked up the floor has been pretty dirty in the kitchen which does give me some pause. However, the food has been good and consistent.

Mary's Pizza Shack has that old school pizza parlor vibe! Very neat interior decor and style. The fried calamari was fantastic and perfectly light and crispy! The garden ranch pizza was good but a little too covered in veggies resulting in a slightly soggy pizza, however the crust was fantastic! The service was okay, a little slow and not very enthusiastic. Other than that, good pizza and appetizer!

Mary's Pizza Shack is a prime example of what happens when a casual restaurant prioritizes high quality ingredients, allowing the simplicity of options like pizza, salad, or sandwiches options to shine. My dad grew up loving it, and gets super excited whenever we have the chance to visit one, so naturally I get excited to. This visit my dad and I shared a grilled chicken sandwich and an ancient grain bowl, both of which were simply lovely. My favorite part of the grain bowls was the texture, I'm a huge farro fan, and love how it combines with other ingredients in a bowl or salad. And the sauce on the sandwich, along with the in-season local tomatoes and the focaccia, created a flavor profile to drool over. We had a bigger group, and they handled it well, bringing the food quickly. Mary's is a great option for lunch, especially to contrast the majority of upscale, more expensive or decadent restaurants in the area.
