Walked in and this was our first tasting in Sonoma since we were right around the corner. Read reviews on their outdoor spot being nice and accommodating for pets. It was pouring out so we were hoping they had some covered areas which they did.
Sandy was super nice and helpful. Had a great time. Definitely recommend this place! She even recommended other places to check out while we are out and about. 👌🏽

Very crowded on a Saturday night being one of the only wineries on the square open past 5PM. If you want to do a tasting visit earlier in the day, but stopping in for a glass of wine (as wine members too) was very enjoyable. They have a great outdoor space and snacks for purchase as a good pre-dinner stop.

This is our favorite tasting room around the Sonoma Plaza. It’s open earlier and later than most others in the area, the staff is friendly, the outdoor area is relaxing and comfortable, they have good wine and even been now if you want to mix it up. Be sure to visit the winery proper about a ten minute drive south.

This was honestly the worst place we went in Sonoma and Napa. The pours were tiny relative to other tasting rooms we visited (c.25ml each of 6 wines at a cost of $35) and the wine was not as good as elsewhere in the region. Also found the staff a bit rude - they laughed at my name when I checked in - would not recommend.

Would highly recommend. Shout out to Melissa who was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, personable and made our tasting experience fun. I liked their casual setting and flexible tasting approach. My husband and I split tastings: one reserve and one standard and it was easy to go back and forth between the options. We enjoyed the Carneros Pinot and French Oak Chardonnay. I think this place has something for everyone. We had no food as were ate lunch across the street at EDK. We did end up joining their membership as we found it flexible and reasonably priced.

Best Chardonnay I’ve had! The charcuterie board was sadly very small for $30. Maybe bring your own food and buy the wine!

Found this gem just walking around and so glad we stopped in. The service was outstanding. The wine was pleasant and the charcuterie board was exactly what we needed.

Really bad experience here, bad wine, bad service

If this had been our first stop,I may have felt differently about our visit but with so many choices in the area, the competition is steep .Highlights, I really enjoyed their cheese and fruit plate and tap room for AC while tasting. Downside. We were given a packet of roughly 5 crackers for the cheese plate for 2 people, which didn't even come close to enough. When I asked if we could have a few more crackers, we were told they could sell them to us. Ok fine, sell them to us. The pours were extremely inconsistent between the two of us. My partner had a reasonable 1-2 oz pour per wine whereas mine was maybe 1 oz and service was very slow despite it being a Monday, with very little information given about the wine by the woman serving unless prompted.

I would not recommend this place based on the staff. The wine was fine but the staff was so rude. We were with an Italian Somalia who ordered a bottle of wine for our group. The male staff member said “what language is she trying to speak?” Which was English but pronouncing the grapes the Italian way. Then we brought a cheese paper plate with us. The female staff member came over and told us we needed to take our 2 paper plates with us so that we didn’t overload their trash can which was empty. The busboy Cash was great and gave us info about the actual Vineyard but I would skip this tasting room based on the 2 older staff members and go straight to the vineyard.

We usually go to the main winery location, but the tasting room in downtown Sonoma is also great! Love all of Roche's wines
