It's a Tuscan villa in the heart of Sonoma. Our table for two was set in front of a white casement window steaming natural sunlight on to our white cloth covered table. A perfect Easter Sunday Brunch Setting. Mellissa over server was delightful, supportive of or choices, informative of what was popular and accommodating. For example, the bagel was left sitting a bit too long in the buffet line and therefore dry and hard. When mentioned, Mellissa went into the kitchen got a fresh bagel, toasted it and brought it back to our table with fresh cream cheese. Every time we got up to revisit the buffet for the next course our napkins were refolded and old plates removed. A ten for service. On to the brunch buffet service, with the exception of the dessert section the room was dark and the food was barely distinguishable one dish to the other. The cold cuts, shrimp cocktails, raw oysters, crab in lettuce wrap and lox's were acceptable. The rest of the buffet forced the Rolling Stone's Song "She's so cold" to keep playing in my head for the reminder of my visits to the line in search of that special item. Try to imagine or don't, getting back to my table and digging into a cold crab and kale eggs Benedict or cold dry chicken and waffle, sea bass or worse yet tasteless mushy cold beef tenderloin. To top that off even the scrambled eggs were cold. Can you hear the song now? The redeeming part of the buffet was the dessert section. The pastry chef also named Mellissa out did herself with a variety of Easter Chocolate's and pastries. My guest didn't care much for the heavy lemon infusion into the crème brûlée but I thought it a delightful variation. Getting back to service, our disappointment got back to the food and beverage manager, Suzzie who came to our table. She listened to our subjective recommendations , a live omelet station, fresh un toasted bagels, a toaster. Thanked us and genuinely assured us that our concerns would be addressed, comped our champagne and discounted our bill. Now that's service and a restaurant who wants to see you back again. As a final note Santé's buffet may need some adjustment but as a restaurant and venue it's worth a visit.

One of the best mushroom dishes I’ve ever had! Their poached mushroom entree was truly delicious and vegan too! Loved it. The service was great. Wish they were open every day.

The avocado toast was literally priced at $18 and they didn't even have fresh avocado on there. It was like the kind of packaged and processed guacamole that you get in a plastic box at the grocery store. For $18 please show avocado toast some respect and put some real, fresh avocado on there.

Everything from the start was simply amazing. The Hostess was gracious. The server which forgive me I forget his name, he was very knowledgeable about the food and wine pairing. Shay the manager touched my table to wish me a Happy Birthday which was a nice surprise. I love how the staff makes everyone feel like VIP's. Oysters, caviar, skirt steak, were amazing. They have such a wonderful wine selection as well. Thank you for a wonderful night!

Sante was terrific! I sometimes forget about this excellent restaurant within the Sonoma Mission Inn. It was easy to get a last minute reservation, indicating others may be making the same mistake. Service was fully attentive. Besides the server, the Manager came over multiple times to ensure we were well taken care of, as well as to help pour wine. There were many good meal choices, without the menu being overwhelming. Most outstanding was the mushroom soup. I don't usually order pork as a main or carrots for a side, as they tend to seem "ordinary." But they were both recommended, so we tried them and were so pleased with their tenderness and seasonings that they were closer to extraordinary.

We got the Wagyu steak for $150. Flavor was ok but the steak was way undercooked. Broccolini also way undercooked. Dessert was awful. No one asked us if everything was ok...just kept bringing us stuff without any real service. Definitely not worth the price.

I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day. We did the prepaid Valentines Day 4 Course Menu. It was fantastic. Great service and lighting. The table had little rose petals and the restaurant had a great mood. The courses came at a good pace to where we didn't need to rush or feel rushed. The servers were very attentive. The food was fantastic and if one of us didn't end up finishing something then they would have it boxed up for us. All of the courses were fantastic. The dessert was amazing and delicious. And at the end they surprised us with some chocolate strawberries. 10/10 would go to this place again for a special occasion.

My husband and I had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Santé. The food was delicious, great ambiance and the staff, specially Melissa, was very nice and attentive. Will definitely go back.

Lovely and elegant, but simply appointed dining room.Excellent food overall, although the duck liver mousse would benefit from more salt, a little Cognac and some truffle (even at a slightly higher price). Yogurt carrots and beet salad were excellent. Duck main course delicious although breast overcooked from the medium-rare requested; wild rice pilaf with shredded duck confit made up for it in great flavor. Outstanding and personable service from Jonathan, with excellent and knowledgeable wine suggestions. Will definitely return when in the area again.

The reservation was made for a bachelorette dinner. We appreciated having our table near the bar so that the guest-of-honor could have access to the TV in the neighboring bar (Go Niners!). Our server, Jonathan, was attentive, informative, and quite witty! The food was delicious and accommodating to our various needs (vegan, pregnant, etc.). We had a wonderful experience! ... Apologies to our fellow diners who had expected a quiet dinner and ended up bothered by our enthusiasm.

A bit pricey, but worth it for those special occasions when you really want to celebrate. Excellent service and equally excellent food. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant and the furniture is very comfortable.

I went to stay at the Fairmont to celebrate my birthday with a friend last weekend and we dined at Santé. We had reviewed the menu and were very excited to eat there. We split the entire meal and a bottle of wine.We began with the bread which was crispy yet soft and the butter was tasty. We ordered the oysters and they were delicious. I typically like smaller oysters like Kumamotos but for larger oysters these were actually good.Next came the butternut squash ravioli and this was amazing too. The sauce was very rich, yet sweet and savory and so was the filling. Then we had the ribeye for 2 with the duck fat fingerling potatoes and the broccolini. I ordered a medium steak and what I received was a medium well, almost well done steak. I am a huge fan of a good ribeye and eat them often, and I hate an overcooked steak - it ruins it for me. The steak was not soft as a well-marbled ribeye should be and lacked flavor/seasoning. There were only patches of salt and it came with this really creamy butter that was almost too creamy and the flavor was kinda overpowering the steak, so we scooped that to the side. The potatoes were also lacking seasoning, I could taste the bitterness of the skin. Also, they were SO dry that some of the potatoes were actually cracking along the inside, completely dehydrated. It seemed like they had been sitting under a heat lamp ALL DAY.The broccolini was cooked al dente and the sauce was tasty. The service could also use some improvements. Our server had zero wow factor and was very dry, not warm nor welcoming. I was a little irritated that he did not come back to top us off until we were about to leave. The manager was nice and came over to open the wine for us, but the server didn’t seem to be too knowledgeable about wine as one would expect in wine country. It’s a long review but an honest one. The resort is fantastic, but try some of the local Sonoma restaurants
