Only reason I'm giving this 5 stars is because I can't give it 6. Excellent service from Mark behind the bar. Cold beer and high quality darts. Cool sports memorabilia. What else do you want.

Steiner's Tavern is an awesome place!! It reminds us of the TV show Cheers. It's a place where everyone knows everyone, and they'll make you feel right at home. It has darts, pool tables and most importantly all the bartenders are great!! Just really nice people and a great atmosphere!! It's a must to stop in and have your favorite drink or beverage!!

Went to watch college football. they didn't play the sound for the rose bowl so 4 stars given its a sports bar. but friendly people, food was decent, large portions.

Came down to the bar with a few friends for the weekend and the buff guy with fake looking hair (Barbie) guy was the main bartender, I could obviously tell he only paid attention to the females he wanted to attend too rather than everyone at the bar who was patiently waiting... and finally when I got his attention , he was extremely snarky and rude. Disappointed. The two men were obviously miserable there. In previous times we've had a better time. Won't come here again.

MARK IS THE BEST!!!! He is just so welcoming and nice all the time, he always remember the drinks we like, he is definitely the best bartender in downtown sonoma!!

I would leave zero stars but it's not an option. 12.00 for a mixed drink. Juke box cannot be turned up loud enough to jear the music you pay for. 3.00 for a 79 cent bag of chips. Way too expensive for a dive bar. Highly disappointed. Never again. Bar tender was an asshole. Highly recommend going else where.

My wife and I had such a good time here sitting at the bar and watching football. The bartender was fun and super friendly. The chicken tenders were big, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Good selection of draft beers.

After reading other reviews, I was not interested in going into Steiners. However, after learning all of our friends were already there (we were in town from Vegas for a wedding), we had no choice. We all had a great time...so much so, we were there each day of our weekend stay! Friday night had a great DJ and bartenders were on point for a crowded bar. Sunday football was led by the owner and management who wanted to make sure everyone that wanted to see an NFL game had excellent access to do so. Again, bartenders were on point for a busy football Sunday and the food was quite good as well! I am not sure who was writing so many of those reviews of horrible experiences but we had an excellent experience and will definitely return whenever back in Sonoma.
Steiners is a great local bar. Bad reviews are coming from out of town visitors who can't hold their liquor. Wine tasting all day then come in acting like a fool after a full day of drinking and blame it on the establishment. Just like many other local spots. Grow up and take responsibility for you actions! Your that person who shows up at the four-way stop and no one's really sure who is first but you are the person giving a finger to anyone going before you. Be better!

I just realized that another bartender from this fine establishment named Mark left me a very insulting and childish message about my review of Steiner's. Is this how you guys operate? How are you still in business with this bad of a bar staff? I can't formulate the words. How is it that there's no manager that has reached out to me, but instead a rude bartender named Mark, who is clearly representing your bar, does and calls me immature and a Karen?! THE WORST BAR EVER.

Tonight I went in with my group of friends to Steiners. It definitely was busy but not a lot of people seem to be waiting at the bar for drinks. I waited over 35 mins with my group of friends from out of town, as the female bartender behind the bar flirted constantly with her coworker and moved really slow and seemed to avoid us. After she finally came over to take our order, she was extremely rude, short tempered and smelled like liquor. I was in shock. It was sad and embarrassing after how highly I talked this place up to my friends. This used to be my favorite bar in town, but that female bartender is just toxic every time I come in and I don't want to deal with her again.
