This was the best restaurant experience of my life. We came in to celebrate my sister's bachelorette party. The ambience was lovely. The layout of the restaurant was cozy but not crowded. The other guests there were wonderul, kind people. The food was fantastic. And then there was Charles. I could not in my wildest dreams have imagined better service than that which we received. Charles was kind and funny, helpful and so attentive. He knew the area well and helped us plan our evening. Whatever he's being paid, pay him more. He's truly one of a kind. Thank you for making the experience magical! I would drive back to Sonoma just to visit The Depot.

Some of the best service we’ve ever had. Called on a warm winter day after a walk with the 2 year old and dogs and they set up an outside area for us. It must have been the owner? that was helping us and she took our daughter around the restaurant so it definitely has a very family owned vibe. Food came out really fast. Menu is a little different thanThe calamari was perfectly fried and flavored. Margarita pizza is great. The short ribs were cooked very well but the sauce could have been better or there needed to be more to tie it all together.Parking: Parking lot is small. There was plenty of parking on a Sunday night in February but you might have to park on the street or another lot nearby

A very quaint, white table cloth restaurant. Beautiful setting as the back room overlooked the pool and outdoor eating area. The wait staff were humble, kind and attentive to our needs. My husband enjoyed the butternut squash soup. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, my split pork chop meal was served with a yummy sauce that was ruined after cutting the 2 chops, they were raw to the point of bleeding and I had to return it and ordered a pizza instead which was edible but came out burnt. The cost of the chops meal was removed, but after such a disappointing experience and having to wait while my husband enjoyed his meal, before I could begin eating, I would have thought that the manager/owner would have comped my meal. Additionally sad for us, we were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. Though the atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was perfect, we paid for a great meal of which I didn't have. I do not desire to return.

Seems like they are just going through the motions. Have always loved that place. All four of us had bad meals. So disappointed. Our champagne was poured into white wine glasses. It's a pricey restaurant. I just can't go back. It was my recommendation. I'm so embarrassed. Only one good thing to say. They had Anchor Steam

Not a great experience. We were seated near a door that kept opening and it was cold out. Staff was hanging out right near our table which was quite distracting. The food was just okay. Be aware there is no bar, just wine. I really wanted to like it, but I struggled.

Must visit on your trip to Sonoma. Loved the food, ambience and service. Pizza was amazing!

The lighting was quite harsh over head lights. Like you might find in a cafeteria. It was very loud as well. Our previous experiences there were several years ago and it was a more intimate feeling.

The food, ambiance, service and the GM Susan Superb. Staff were well trained and informed about the menu and made great recommendations. As locals, we are thrilled it is open and another option close to home. We'll be back! Cheers!

This place is amazing. The service was great and they were working hard to provide a wonderful experience. The food was spectacular. We started with the margarita pizza as our appetizer. It was perfect. We could not believe how thin and crispy the crust was. The sauce and cheese so delicious. We ordered the tagliatelle and the rigatoni as our mains. They were both rich and filling.I really want to try the hand pulled mozzarella next trip. They don’t have a full bar but offer wine spritz and a full wine menu. You can also bring your own for a corking fee.The location off the main square but we easily walked from our hotel. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Depot restaurant in Sonoma, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the amazing wine and dessert selection. The sommelier's expertise shone through as they guided us to the perfect pairings for our meal. Each sip and bite brought out the subtle nuances of flavors, leaving us in awe of the culinary craftsmanship. Although the short rib fell below our expectations, it didn't overshadow the overall good experience we had. The tenderness of the meat was not quite there, but the accompanying sides and sauces were spot-on. One dish that truly stole the show was the homemade pasta. The texture was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was nothing short of spectacular. It was a harmonious blend of flavors that left us craving for more. Aside from the exceptional food and drinks, the staff at The Depot restaurant was attentive and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable and enjoyable. If you ever find yourself in Sonoma, I highly recommend visiting The Depot restaurant. It offers a delightful culinary journey, where incredible wines, delectable desserts, and homemade pasta reign supreme. Bon appétit!"

Decided to go out for a nice dinner for New Year's Eve. Made early reservations at Depot restaurant, walking in the place was beautiful, but it was all downhill from there. We were given menus ordered the calamari appetizer, (which was very good, and the only reason why I gave two stars instead of one). We ordered the Cioppino. 10 minutes later the server came back and said they don't have that tonight. Nobody had printed up the new menus for New Year's Eve. Ordered the pork chops they were out of those and mind you. This was at 5:30 in the evening. My friend ordered the salmon special. The piece of salmon was the size of a credit card and there was a tablespoon of mashed potato smeared on the plate and two carrots. My brother ordered. The polenta with mushrooms came out half a cup of polenta some chicken broth around it and 4 mushrooms that looks like they were a week old and it was like warm! My husband had a spaghetti with prawns. You got a half a cup of spaghetti with saffron butter on it and four prawns that were whole head and body that you had to peel but they gave you no bowl or anything to put the peels in and the prawns were really mushy. Wanted crème brûlée for dessert they were out of that. All in all, it was very expensive for a horrible dining experience.!

Small plates for the price. Polenta plate was not good, runny and chewy mushrooms. We wanted creme Brule and we we're told they changed to something else so we left without dessert. Disappointed.

Food was outstanding. We had the pizza, rigatoni and tagliatelle. They don't have a full bar so wine only but they offer a corking fee to bring your own. Service was also well done. The value is great for Sonoma.
