She also introduced us to the art and sculptures on the estate, which were far more impressive than we imagined. The whole property felt like an outdoor museum, with an immersive blend of nature, wine, and creativity.
We highly recommend this vineyard if you’re looking for a memorable, enriching experience that truly captures the spirit of Carneros wine culture.

★★★★☆ Donum Estate is a stunning mix of vineyard views and museum-level sculpture, and the setting alone feels special. Our host was genuinely welcoming and knew the wines inside and out. The tasting leaned Pinot Noir with a clean, vibrant Chardonnay, and one single-vineyard Pinot really stood out for its silky texture and long finish. We added the art tour and it made the visit feel richer, with plenty of photo-worthy moments. The hilltop pavilion is an easy place to lose track of time.
It’s not quite five stars for me because the experience is pricey and the schedule felt a little structured, which left less time to wander. It can be breezy, so bring a layer. Still, Donum delivers a polished, memorable visit. Book the art tour, arrive a bit early, and you’ll likely leave with a few new favorite wines and plans to return.

I highly recommend the Carneros experience for anyone who likes art and nature and is already thinking about coming here for wine tasting. Learning the history and meaning behind the sculptures from our guide was amazing, and made even better by drinking excellent wines on the walking tour. We visited in mid October and did the 3:30pm tour, and the light was magical that time of year & day. Our tour had 10 people in it so it felt small and we learned a lot. This place seems to book far in advance, even off season, but we got the time we wanted for booking about a month in advance for 2 people. The wine was great, especially the chardonnay, which wasn't too oaky or buttery but just in the middle and had a nice tropical flavor to it.

Wonderful property with lots of interesting art sculptures dotting the vineyards. Came for the Carneros Experience for wine tasting, which is $100 per person. We were allowed to explore the property at our leisure after the tasting was over, which was pretty nice as well.
FYI - if you have anyone in your group who is sober/DD/simply doesn’t drink wine, their pricing policy is to charge you the full amount for the tasting ($75 is the lowest price point) and swap out the wines for mocktails. so your sober/DD guests get to pay $75 to drink juice
