Cozy, quaint, and comfortable. I knew it would be a positive experience when Aneta welcomed me warmly and continued to provide friendly attentive service despite being extremely busy. She was very helpful with both food and wine recommendations which turned out to be spot on! A delicious salmon dinner and satisfying wine in good company. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is underrated. Always a great meal. Great service. Good cocktails. I always have one of the specials. More people should try.

Unfortunately the food was not good. The eggplant appetizer - and we both love eggplant - tasted like vinegar. The seafood away was so salty that neither of us could eat it. The schnitzel was good - not great. Overall a big disappointment. Server was friendly and attentive. However, the whole seafood plate was in tact and we were not offered an alternative.

Food was great. Service excellent. Staff is very friendly. Chicken piccata was very good as was the spinach and mash potatoes that came with it

It was an overcast sky with weather rapidly deteriorating. It was time for lunch. Plaza Bistro is located right on the charming, treed central square and is easy to find. It was a weekday, so parking was not a problem...but weekends and holidays are a different story. Intimately cozy, there are a few dining rooms with windows facing the square. Linen on the tables, this Mediterranean Italian restaurant is staffed by what sound like Italian waiters. Very charming. Menus are different for lunch and dinner. We were there for lunch and they offer some specials to this limited, but adequate menu of selections. I had the special lunch ravioli ($24) and it was very excellent with five large ravioli covered with a rich tomato Bolognese. Super good. Wife had a bowl of excellent beef barley soup ($12) that she really enjoyed. Two dinner rolls were extra at $3. Atmosphere, service, food and class. Nice date place.

Valentines Dinner was delicious. Staff was very attentive and polite. We started with their cheese board. Perfect to share and so yummy. We also shared a Cesar salad, fresh and crispy. My husband ordered Chicken Piccata and I got the Seafood Linguini Pasta the sauce with my pasta was lemony. We ended with Tiramisu is was moist and delicious. We will visit again.

We reserved a special Valentines dinner for two at one of our favorite local restaurants, the Plaza Bistro, early at 5:00 asking for a seat by the windows. We were told if one was available at that hour it was ours. We arrived on time and there were 3 tables for 4 by the window. Only two other tables in the restaurant were occupied at that hour. The hostess /server seated us at a very small table for two, facing a wall, saying that they expected to be full. I asked for our window table and she said it was for 4 only. We had a lovely meal (the calamari is wonderful) and the service was great by another server. As we got our main meal, she then seated two parties of two at the tables by the windows. They asked to be seated even tho they were early for there reservation. WOW! As we paid and left I told her that I had owned a restaurant for years and would never have treated us as she did. She didnt apologize.

It was a great night. Out table took a little long to get but only because the host was working hard to get us a table by the window. The food was really good!we started off with the cheese board. It was very tasty. I had the chicken picatta and my wife had the seafood pasta. She loved it. We ended it with tiramisu for dessert, havent had one in a long time and it didn't disappoint. Definitely a cozy place. We will be going back soon!

Quaint restaurant with good food. The carpaccio was outstanding! We came from Dallas and like local restaurants and we found it in this one.

One of our favorite restaurants in Sonoma. Located on the square in downtown Sonoma, this very nice restaurant has a lot to offer. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and attentive but not intrusive.

The food is lovely. We enjoy the intimate front dining room where you watch the chefs cooking on one side and the people walking around the historic plaza on the other. Warm and very friendly service. It's become our new favorite date night! Hot bread pudding and Tiramisu are delicious. Do Not Miss the Emmentaler Spaetzle - its a side on the dinner menu. It is the most divine adult 'mac and cheese' you've ever tasted!

Very good food and service (Sasha), but I was really surprised to have been charged $14 for a comparative tasting of two reds. Have never experienced it anywhere else, so far! And, with no prior warning, to boot! It was an entirely unnecessary disappointment! Additionally, I was not checked off the reservation list while coming in. As a result, I had to do some straightening out with OpenTable that contacted me about my supposed “no show.' Another unnecessary surprise. I still do like that place!
