If I could give 6 stars for service I would. Everything about the service was fantastic, from the friendliness and knowledge, to the excellent wine pairings, to the fact that the food was cooked exactly the way I asked for it. If there is room for improvement it is in the atmosphere, so I only gave 4 stars for that. It is a bit loud and the decor (though nice) wasn’t especially interesting to me. Still, I’d give it 5 stars over all and I would love to go back.

Hamachi crudo and caesar wedges were very delicious. Ahi tuna Tartare was lacking sauce and pot roast were very dry and stringy, it is not juicy at all. The service was probably the best I ever had though. I'm sorry that the food did not play a good supporting role to the fantastic service.

Vegetarian options: Did not have vegetarian.

It’s no secret that the food, atmosphere and wine are great here. What really stood out to me was the service. I worked in the industry for a while and am used to the surface level smiles and service you get at most nice restaurants. This was different though. From the front door to the kitchen, the staff genuinely seemed to want us to have a truly great dining experience. In multiple ways, they went above and beyond and made our night so memorable.

"Service was slow and so so. Appetizer was very good but meal was Luke warm and not flavorful. Also would not allow separate checks which was very inconvenient and caused problems."

First time I went to Wit and Widsom a couple years ago was an amazing dinner. Last night was my second time here. Unfortunately this recent experience was disappointing.
We had a group of six and ordered a ton of plates to share. They rushed out all or appetizers so fast and we had not even received our drinks by the time we finished the appetizers. I literally had to ask our server to slow things down so we could enjoy the dining experience instead of feeling like they are just trying to flip tables.
Food was good but this unfortunately overshadowed it. I won’t be going back and would recommend checking out one of the many other great options in Sonoma.

Our server Jackie was so engaging, she really made our evening extra special! The food, atmosphere, service all impeccable, treat yourself to this amazing experience.

Kid-friendliness: We did have a two year old with us, planned to have dinner earlier as that’s what works best for our toddler, which in turn made it all doable.

Wheelchair accessibility: easy access, both handicap parking and valet

This is our first time visiting Sonoma and I had a recommendation from where we are staying to try here. When we toured Donum Estate, they also raved about Wit and Wisdom so we were excited. It lived up to all expectations, the food was delicious and service impeccable. A must try in the Sonoma area!

We ate outside and it was a little chilly but some of their heaters weren't working which was frustrating. If you're going to seat people outside make sure all your heaters are working. They did have blankets which helped but not the same. The heirloom tomato and burrata salad was a disappointment, only one small tomato and barely any burrata and pesto, which did not have much flavor. The crab and endive ceasar app was ok, decent flavor. The dinner entree of halibut was overcooked and too salty. The cauliflower was roasted with olive oil and very basic. The presentation of the halibut plate was very basic. The prices are high and the food experience didn't match the price tag. I would not go back. Rating is 3 out of 5 across the board for food, service, and atmosphere.

On a long weekend wine tour. Came YW W&W with 2 other couples. Shared duck wings, Truffle Tagliatelle and the 2 pizzas on the menu. All were very good. Truffle probably our favorite. Finished with the Candy Bar dessert and the S’more for Two. Both were excellent. Sorry, but I forgot to take pics…

It's a nice place. food and service was good. If they fixed the loose toilet seats it would have been really nice! This is such a stupid thing for a restaurant to overlook. We'd go back , but with an adjustable wrench.

I ordered the filet mignon, with a request for regular butter instead of red wine butter, to be cooked medium rare. The steak came out very quickly, and was cooked to medium, with a char on the outside and zero butter. Staff was friendly.

From start to finish, we had a fabulous experience. Our server, Matt, was knowledgeable, charismatic and fun! He suggested perfect wine pairings for our filet and chicken dishes. Yum, yum, yum! Will definitely go back the next time we are in Sonoma.
