Ordered the special, Blackened Mahi Tacos with cabbage , red onion and mango salsa. The fish was great but where was the cabbage? None. Only a piece of mango the size of a dime but LOADED with red onion. Started with 1 server then switched to another but never saw her again after the food was delivered.

The Peppery is consistently excellent and never fails to satisfy. I have been coming here for over 15 years and I have never had a bad experience. Everything on the menu is excellent, including the desserts! I love the fried asparagus.

Ordered stuffed cheese bread as an appetizer and didn't get it before our meal. Ordered the special of the day soup, tomato bisque and it was the star of the show... Creamy and seasoned well with a bit of a kick. The appetizer was gross.. Bread was a pita pocket looking thing and cheese was hard... Whole thing was hard! Hamburger was cooked good and juicy but no seasoning with the onions being the star of the show, sad. Service was awful.... Hostess was pleasant. But the server was subpar.. She checked the table behind us frequently but never asked us how the food was. If you are a local, you get great service and attention but not if you are a tourist. Disappointed as this was a trip for our 10 year anniversary. Got carrot cake to go, hoping it's good but prices are high for the quality of the food and crappy service. We come to the area somewhat frequently but won't be back to the Peppery.

I've lived in Tuoulume County my whole life, never once went to The Peppery, I see why now. Seriously over priced for "fresh made" food. If by fresh made they mean dumped into a fryer from a bag that was frozen. ZERO flavor to match the boring atmosphere. Service was ok, server got my drink order wrong, not a great start. Got the fish and chips with jalapeño tartar sauce and seasoned fries. Fish was cod, over cooked in a flavor less "beer" batter. Fries were dry and not seasoned. Jalapeño tarta sauce was missing the jalapeño. Will not return or recommend.

the presentation was there but empty. yes, the burger was hand pressed thick juicy but flavorless. heaping serving of garlic fries - so bland. I'm sorry, $2 for a clove of chopped garlic on top of fries not cooked to fragrant is a crime. my grandmother, who used to be a sous-chef in her prime, commented that the only thing good was her glass of water.

We try a new place to eat every month. The food here was outstanding. Wich is good because we drove 11/2hrs to get here. We ordered about 4:45 lucky for me the prime rib was finished. Menu says not until 5pm. My son had the Philly cheese. My wife fish & chips. We had jalapeño poppers and calamari for appetizers. Every item was delicious. The waitress was great. She never wrote anything down and everything was right.i wish I'd asked her name. I have no idea of where the low reviews come from our experience was well worth the 3hr round trip.

Little, maybe 5 or 6 year old running around the bar with a paper air plane. Infant smacks there face on the bar while dad is worried about his football team. Mom leaves to take toddler to event. Leaves infant with "buzzed" dad. Infant flipps out, off upside down high chair and lands face first on floor. Dad says give him a marbro red and a coors banquet he'll be ok. REALLY!! I'm a father of two beautiful daughters. GOOD job dad. Moral of the day!! Children should not be allowed in bar area at all. This is a very good example why my friends of Sonora. Food was great, service was awesome, this is not chucky chesse. I will be back
