Our dishes (halibut and duck) were excessively salty and overpowered all the other flavors. Service was very good.

We had such a fantastic experience at Home in Soquel. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for the night. The ambiance feels both cozy and elevated, the kind of place we instantly wanted to come back to.

The food was absolutely amazing — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell the chefs really care about what they’re putting on the plate. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and they made the whole experience feel personal.

It’s rare to find a place that nails the food, the ambiance, and the service all at once, but Home pulls it off beautifully. Easily one of our new favorite spots in the area. Highly recommend!

Liked the appetizers, Mac and Cheese hardly had any cheese in it. Maybe call it Mac, light on cheese

Fun place with great-tasting and distinctive dishes. Fabulous and large salad, free flow soda water, nice meat dishes. Knowledgeable waiters. Funky, cozy atmosphere. Worth a detour.

Now that we are on the other side of planning our wedding there, we can’t imagine choosing anywhere else besides HOME for our special day. We booked the entire restaurant and backyard for our ceremony and reception because it fit our top priorities: great food, beautiful location, and the convenience of restaurant/all-inclusive service. Through every step of the planning process we felt that our money was going not only to a great venue and excellent food, but the kind of experience we wanted for ourselves and our guests. Ryan was a great help and guide for making sure our day went as smoothly as possible. If you have guests with dietary restrictions or allergies, I can’t think of a better place to accommodate those needs while still providing a top-tier meal for everyone. Many of our guests raved about the cocktail hour and dinner, saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding (and we have to say we agree!) Ryan and the whole team at HOME are so professional and experienced with running events that every moment of the day felt seamless. They worked so hard to make sure we enjoyed our party, and I can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a spectacular place to hold a special event. A huge thank you Ryan, chef Briske, and the whole team at HOME for helping us create the best wedding day we could have hoped for!

We chose HOME for our wedding this August and celebrated with 65 guests. Every detail was perfect, including the food, the service, and the ambiance. The team created a day that felt uniquely us, and we could not be more grateful. HOME has our highest recommendation. Thanks all!

LOW RATING IS FOR THEIR WEBSITE. I tried reserving several days before, then 2 days before, then day of, via the Resy link on their website. Since all attempts were unsuccessful, we decided to drive down from SF anyway and enjoy the beach while waiting for 5pm to come around. When we got to the resto, the staffperson apologized to say that they were closed for a wedding reception. They could have definitely posted this on their site or have a pop up when trying to make reservations just to inform potential customers of the event.

This was my second time trying Home. Their non-pretentious atmosphere still garners the “special occasion” style reservation with the price-tag.

The food was fantastic the last time, but this time around carried a rushed energy. I reserved for 8:30p because it was available online. However, I clocked a tension as we ordered a normal meal out for us. We ordered an appetizer w/ bread, small plate, and entree to share. They brought the bread with our bottle of wine. Then proceeded to heavily pour our wine glasses. Then, they brought out ALL of our food. We were a bit overwhelmed, and I could tell in the haste of preparation things may have lost quality. The
Eggplant buratta appetizer was so shockingly salty. The fish was over cooked and tough- too high of heat for too long. The focaccia bread was not focaccia because they ran out and didn’t tell us until serving w/o an option to deny.

The hostess the evening we visited, Hannah, was very genuine, and she kindly helped us get our wine selection started. We were transitioned to our server the for the rest of the evening- and she was the type of person you get 10min of story for a yes or no question that still doesn’t answer your question. Take what you will from that.

I love what they are going for at the restaurant, but for the price- I sadly won’t be back.

Wine, food and service were good. Early reservation - front of the house didn't seem ready for the intake of customers. Quincy was our server - excellent people skills - but needs more training. Too much time between visits to table. Food was quite good but not excellent. Trendy menu choices - looking for something less Trendy. I don't think this is Chef's problem - I think it's a high end restaurant problem, keeping up with Jones'

We hosted our wedding at HOME, and it was everything we dreamed of, and then some. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and magical, the staff was incredibly kind, and the food was unbelievable. Every detail was handled with so much care and intention.

We had never been to HOME before our wedding trip, so it was a bit of a leap of faith - but we would do it again in a heartbeat. The space, the energy, the people… it all came together so seamlessly.

A special shoutout to Ryan, who was an absolute gem throughout the night. His calm, easygoing energy paired with behind-the-scenes precision made everything feel effortless. He checked in with us throughout the evening, made sure we were taken care of, and truly brought our vision to life.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the entire experience, from the food to the vibe to the incredible staff, and that meant the world to us. Several of our friends and family have strict dietary restrictions (including celiac and gluten-free), and they were blown away by how expansive, thoughtful, and delicious the menu was. Many told us it was one of the best meals they’ve ever had, and some couldn’t believe they were finally able to enjoy fried chicken again after years of going without. Chef Brad crafted an exceptional menu that was not only accommodating, but deeply memorable for everyone.

HOME is a one-of-a-kind place. If you’re lucky enough to plan an event here, know that you’re in the best hands. We can’t wait to return.

Food was delicious, but service was horrendous. Waters were not refilled during the almost 2 hours we were there, food took a long time to come out, multiple waiters were asking us the same orders over and over, and they overcharged us on our bill. And the tipping pressure from our server really sent me over the edge. We used to love this place but service has really gone down hill
