Excellent restaurant! The food was ridiculously good. Steak Tartare 🔥 Beef Cheeks🔥 Beet Fritter 🔥 Cauliflower 🔥 the only knock is that we sat on the back patio which I do not recommend in February. Very cold but the staff was super accommodating and brought us heaters.
Although expensive, and I wish the fried chicken were in pieces like normal instead of half a chicken, the breading and skin was amongst the best I have ever had. Amazingly crispy. As a shared app we had the Beet Risotto Fritter. What a concept and the flavors were off the charts. Savory with a hint of sweetness from the beets. Served on a bed of lentils. The food here is on another level. Grew up here but lived in NYC for 10+ years and there isn’t another restaurant in Santa Cruz that could compare. Service was great. Compliments to the brilliant chef!!
