I went in last week and just had the best service I've had in all my years of going to this restaurant. Had a new waitress that seemed to be training and she was just the cutest and most respectful young blonde girl I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Tampico never fails!

*** update 2024. You need to experience Tampico. Said and his staff are amazing. Please make sure you visit and experience the taste of Tampiconin Soquel. It's not your average Mexican restaurant. It's a flavor party. Have a Molly!* old Review. Tampico is a mainstay and a pillar of the Soquel community. We always measure other MX restaurants against the flavors you get at Little Tampico. Staff has been there for ever and always remembers us and the whole family. Be prepared to wait times during the busy times. Love the Molly Margarita and the Shrimp Flautas.

Went here on lunch break ordered a tamale an enchilada and a taco the meat was fresh but everything was not very good to be blunt. I only finished my plate because I was hungry, service was great very nice people just not good food.

My wife and I love this place for lunch. We really enjoy Gigi (waitress and day bartender). I love their hot sauce and usually end up eating too many chips with the sauce before my lunch arrives. My favorite is the enchilada and tamale plate with rice and beans. The portions are large and the quality is good. My wife usually gets a half order of nachos, which is still a big plate and she ends up taking some home.

I really wanted to like this place!!! Went on a Tuesday night and barely anyone was in there. Server was very nice and attentive, but the food took a long time and it was just OK (not a lot of flavor). There was a non-service dog seated in a chair at the table behind us inside, which was annoying. I'd go back if the food was better.

The owner is a kind gentleman & the staff follows closely behind in welcoming energy. The Molly's will fuck you up. The Olitas plate will fill you up. My fav choices on the Olitas plate: beef enchilada, chicken tamale, shredded beef taquito, & beef tostada. Your welcome. Try their jalapeño poppers. A nice dinner location for family dinner to overview the creek and local ducks. OR A equally as great bar spot for a few margis.

Food was great, chips weren't as good as previous visits ( not warm and bit stale) salsa was delicious. Service was very good.

We have been going here for a few years, but I think the food has gone down hill. We went on a busy Friday night. The beef did not taste good. It was pretty tasteless. The prawn tacos were ok. The food is nothing to be excited for it was blah!!! We will not be visiting this restaurant again. I would not waste your money going to Little Tampico!!!

My wife and I had lunch there today and weren’t impressed by the food. In my opinion, both of our meals tasted like microwaved, frozen meals. Both meals were bland and had toppings such as big pieces of black olives, big pieces of uncooked/unseasoned jalapeños, and half-melted shredded cheese. Luckily, the staff were friendly and the meal wasn’t very expensive.

Never going back. I dont do reviews, but the bartender on the 6th of January was incredibly disrespectful to this poor woman. He made a huge scene in the restraunt. Not only was he ranting, threatening, and saying incredibly inappropriate things, but he then made a drink ON the bar and tossed the ice cubes AT HER! It was so awkward and unprofessional that people started walking out.

My husband and I have been going off and on for a few years, the food has always been good. We always eat in the bar and sit at the bar. Today we walked out without finishing our meal, not because the food was bad. We know the bartender, we often have interesting conversations, but today he went wild. I thought we were talking about how he was doing, and he went completely down a rabbit hole; I could not follow him so I asked for context and to explain what he meant, but it just weirder until he became rude. My husband confronted him on the rudeness and he obviously forgot that he works in a service industry. We closed out and left, my lunch was 1/4 eaten and my drink the same. I don't know if the owners or other staff know what goes on in the bar because they don't spend much time there, and we have never seen him like this before. Understand people have challenges in life, but when you have a public facing job, you better keep that stuff inside until you have safe place to spew it out. Doing so to a customer is very unprofessional. We will not return.
