Delicious&freshly made, from the pickled cabbage & cauliflower, to the amazing pupusas nice and hot from the kitchen to your table, every dish we ordered was tasty, and let’s not forget the Micheladas which was a nice surprise when we arrived that they have drinks to go with our dinner. Definitely a little Gem in El Monte, not too far from the Frwy and a family business that puts as much care into their food as their clients. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

OMG the food was absolutely positively incredible! I didn't eat for 16 hours so I could come here and eat as many pupusas as I could. The lady at the cashier was friendly and charming. She recommended great selections. I could tell she was proud of the food she was serving. The food was freshly made and came out hot and delicious 😋. Would definitely travel 4 hours again to come back here.

I absolutely loved this place 18 years ago and I still do. It's hard to find good Salvadorian food and it has kept standing through all the years.

Very bad food, I ordered a beef broth for my wife, that broth had already been stored for days, I think it tasted like a pipe, I didn't eat it, I ordered some popusas for me, also horrible, the raw dough, I don't know, the cooks are no good and they don't know how to make food and it's better not to ever return to that Don Carlos Popusa restaurant does not serve as long as the owner does not know how to make food and sells the food left by customers that are not picked up. County workers should be more careful with this restaurant and check it more often

Food is authentic and the service is wonderful!! We had the pupusas. The salsas and curtido were delicious. Affordable and high-quality home cooking.

Good place overall. Would've given us five stars but they charge me more each time I visit. First time was $27 I think. Then $29. Then $32 and change.... ?

I have only ordered take out, never dined in-house. But their service from ordering of food over the phone. As if you were sitting and ordering. Very helpful with menu, and their Pupusas are so delicious, results… WoW

Parking: There is very limited parking space, they share property with other business, and street parking is usually taken by other business.

Food was okay. I am searching for a good pupuseria but this one fell short. There was flies on the restaurant which was a big turn off. Restaurant could be cleaner. Very dingy.
