friend gave us gift certificates of significant amounts months ago while I was sick. When we finally went to use the certificates we were informed that the site was not taking orders and by all appearances they are out of business. Would love to find out about refunding my friend's money rather than keeping it for services and food not provided

***as of now it appears Fitness Kitchen is permanently closed*** Due to a busy work schedule I decided to try a meal service (postmates/door dash was adding up). I had my first order in the beginning of January. The meals were fantastic and kept me feeling full without a need for snack despite running a calorie deficit for hitting some weight loss goals. Unfortunately my first order was also the last I would be able to make. Received an e-Mail that they were shutting down. If they ever re-open I would continue with them in a heartbeat. The 5 stars are for the incredible dishes (better than most restaurants and dine out by a long shot) and healthier. Wish FTLA all the best

I am shocked and disappointed at the lack of communication this company has. I was notified by email that they had to temporarily shut down their kitchen to do a "Covid cleaning" and that deliveries would continue starting 1/17. I placed my order as I typically did online via their website on Thursday 1/13 and received a confirmation email for my order. The next day I noticed my card was not charged so I began to wonder why. I tried contacting them via phone and email and received no reply. I did not receive my reminder email I would usually get on Sunday 1/16 so I emailed and text again and my email came back as undeliverable. I went into their website and it says they are not accepting orders. I realize many small businesses are struggling due to Covid and I understand, however I find it very unprofessional to not have been contacted by the company at all to inform of their apparent closure. If they ever re-open, I will certainly not return as a customer. I do hope they are all in good health, but I also do expect communication especially as a long time customer. Very disappointed.

The food is good, but the packaging is awful. More often than not, the ice packs (which are beyond their useful life) are leaking into and through the cooler bag. The result is a slimy mess on your food containers, your kitchen and doorstep. My concern is that I'm eating the fluid from the leaking ice packs. I've complained several times about this only to be told that it would be reported to the kitchen staff and could I submit pictures of the leaking bags. I want to love the service, but they are making it hard for me.

Unfortunately, prices went up and I chose to cancel my subscription. The food was great, but $20 for a salad is a bit much. The delivery was often made in the middle of the night (2 AM, 3 AM) and the ice packs were melted by morning leaving the food at room temperature. I think it was OK, but I imagine the bags aren't insulated enough for summer drop offs. My reason for a one star review, however, is due to my cancellation not going through. Customer service answers and returns calls, but they don't actually go through with changes that you request and there is no way to cancel online. You have to go through customer service. I called customer service and emailed multiple times for a refund after they made a mistake on a previous charge. I was told that I'd receive a refund but I never did. I called customer service to pause my subscription and I continued being charged every week. I emailed customer service to cancel my subscription and I am still seeing pending charges each week. I have to dispute the charge on my credit card every week. Thankfully, my credit card company took care of the first refund and is working on the reoccurring weekly bill that I am still receiving.

Enjoying this service. Delicious food, very customizable, very affordable with lots of flexibility. Delivery is prompt and customer service is very easy to deal with. Highly recommend.

I put on the covid 19 pounds and if it were up to my own cooking, there would be no way of losing weight. So I started ordering lunch and dinners from Fitness Kitchen LA, Monday's thru Fridays. It's been such a great experience. I love that they offer 4 different meal plans, keto, paleo, pescatarian or healthy balance. I've jumped from Keto the first couple of weeks to now this week Pescaterian for lunch and Paleo Trim for dinner. The food is delicious and lots of variety. I love ALL the salads. And the steak chimi churi, chicken mustard dijon and all the different fish dishes have all been amazing. And the best part is I am losing weight. Almost close to fitting into my pants that I could wear pre-pandemic. But I don't cheat either. I only eat what is delivered, have a couple cups of coffee with my keto creamer called Nik Pik. I also do intermittent fasting and only eat the lunch and dinners delivered between 11 and 6. I can eat whatever I want on the weekends. It's so nice not to have to figure out food that is healthy and is helping me lose weight by the mere fact that all the food is clean eating and healthy and most importantly delicious. If I want to make changes and bounce around between all their menu offerings, I simply email them before Thursday at 9 for the upcoming week. I've had a month of being extremely busy with my business and have appreciated the ready made meals.

These guys are amazing, the meals are super fresh and in about 6 weeks using them, I did not have one meal that I did not like! Beth in Customer Care is amazing and responds in an instant to questions. I am on an a la carte plan since I am doing 4:3 alternate day fasting. I am getting 3 days/ 2 meals a day delivered on a balanced diet. This makes it so easy to keep within calorie limits and balance the macros, that even the fasting days on which I don't get meals are easy. Simply balanced! When my hubby saw my weight loss success and how I raved about the taste he joined me and we upped the portion size from "slim" to "maintain" and are now sharing a meal still leaving us both satisfied. There were a few meals where I thought "how in the world will this still be yummy when heated up?" but it was! Things like flank steak even were still juicy after heating. Is it pricey- yes. But if you were to count the money you would spend on this variety of fresh ingredients and the amount you would throw away because you cannot eat that much, it is totally worth it!

We have tried several meal delivery services in Los Angeles and this is by far the best. We have been using them for almost a year now and would not even think of trying a different service. The food quality is excellent, the recipes are impeccable, the delivery is always on time and the prices are about the same as every other service. If you are looking for the first time or want to try something new you won't be disappointed.

Love LOVE fitness kitchen LA! My schedule is always chaos so I do the a la crate option and all the meals have been excellent! Service is spot on and the food is fresh healthy and portion controlled (I do the trim). I haven't had to resort to a frozen gluten free burrito in weeks!

My partner purchased meals and the first delivery was made with no confirmation or communication at MIDNIGHT. The delivery driver acted like we were crazy for thinking a midnight delivery was strange, and he was very cagey when we asked for details or confirmation about the order. The food was okay but we canceled immediately because we were so sketched out by the delivery. I'm sure the owner will have some snarky response here as he did for my Google review, but my partner was the one who made the purchase so please don't tell me this review isn't for Fitness Kitchen.

They were great until they were not. 6 weeks in and all of the sudden meals stopped delivering. I spoke with Thomas in customer service and he assured me they would address the issue, but never did. He then promised to refund my account for the missed deliveries and comp my next week of deliveries, but never did. He then said he would cancel my subscription, but has not and I'm still getting charged. DO NOT ORDER THIS MEAL DELIVERY SERVICE!
