they can over garnish and give you less meat on Tacos .i gave it a 3 cause if the meat isnt marinated than the meat can taste awful . $30-$40 meals

I never write bad reviews but this place tried to raise prices on me. When I asked why they did that and if the menu’s price changed then why was it not changed on the menu? No answer and just had excuses about extra fees. Did not make any sense. Another looked at receipt saw the extra fees and reimbursed me. Took three employees and a customer to fix the situation.

My dad lives in South El Monte. I have been coming here for a decades. My favorite thing to eat in the entire world is a good bean burrito with a good tortilla and delicious hot chile. Well I came here because I saw it all the time when going to the $.99 store, but I never tried it. I assumed it was like all the other places in South El Monte that have basic bean burritos I have to say am never not gonna stop here when I come see my dad. The flower tortilla if it isn’t homemade it sure in the house taste like it the perfect texture The beans are just the way they’re supposed to be made. They are freaking delicious and I did ask for hot chili so they gave me a special one and holy moly that was delicious too! You would think that I’m being in El Monte most of the Mexican restaurants here are around by Mexicans and you could get a delicious bean burrito, it is not the case until today! I should’ve took a picture of it, but I pulled over and ate it in my car. I just could not believe how good it was!

We had order a big order $124.56 my husband and i order 6 asada tacos plain and when we got home tacos had everything on them we drove 30 min to come here we use to live in south el monte in this was our to go place but know with this new cashier it went down hill she is rude as hell really terrible service from here and food got bad mever coming back again

My experience in this place was horrible in every way!!!! When we were ordering the cashier had not customer service skills at all, we were getting to burritos and they wanted to charge like $30 for them.....it was ridiculously spensive ? While we were waiting for our meal to dine in all the tables were duty. When the order was ready they refuse to gave us the sauce we needed? They gave us 1 sauce and they told us if we need more we had to take the empty little cup to the kitchen to get more, this is unsanitary; this people should be trian to work in a restaurant business ? The sad part is that the person preparing our food and giving this instructions was the owner of the place, this is pathetic and unethical!!! Our burritos didn't even had meat in them? basically we were served bean and cheese instead of asada and buche; it was so disappointed for us? It just happened like 20 mins ago.... I will never go back to this money hungry unethical wanna be Mexican restaurant....? Shame on you......owner wanna be cook ???

I've been coming here since I was a kid. The one thing that never fails to be great is the tripas they have here. Nice and crunchy and their salsa is pretty spicy.
I like their asada, but I do understand that it tends to be a bit more on the salty side and cooked/fried a bit more than your usual carne asada.

I recently visited Karina’s after years of nothing coming, and it was a disappointing experience. The beans tasted burnt, and the rice was salty and hard. It was 101 degrees outside, and they had no AC on, making it really uncomfortable. My soda melted almost immediately because there was barely any ice.
I used to love Karina’s, my family religiously ate here on Friday’s years ago . we use to get the chicken taquitos that were delicious. Now, they’re mostly tortilla with just a pinch of dry chicken. The only thing they got good still is carne asada tacos . I won’t be going back—I’m better off at a different taco stand.
