Get the Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc or (shaking beef) and thank me later. Described by my boyfriend as “one of the best things he’s ever eaten” this meal was a 10/10. The meat was so delicious and veggies so fresh - they worked together perfectly.

Great spot!
Good balance between the herbal and meaty flavours in the broth. Staff are super friendly too!
Impressed with the service here. Overall, the pho here is good and worth a try. The street has a couple joints as it stands. For those who like meaty broths, this is your place!
Quantity of meat was nice as well ~

Good pho and big portion size as well. Broth was light and a little hint of herbal. Got the dac biet since I like to have everything on it. The waiter was quick and friendly. Would definitely come back!

Food was good and restaurant was clean. The tables and seats didn't feel sticky. They offer a variety of Vietnamese cuisine from the usual beef pho to broken rice, appetizers, drinks, pho ga and even vegetarian stuff. Their beef noodle soup was no too sweet and not too salty so that was nice. Fresh plate of veggies. Huge parking lot so parking isn't an issue. They got a toy capsule machine too. Even have mini Labubu toys in case anyone is interested.

Visiting a friend and he was under the weather and was craving Pho. He recommended Pho Hai in El Monte.
The broth is rich, flavorful and authentic. Portions are generous—perfect for a hearty meal. Walked away feeling much better. Family-owned and operated. Service was warm and attentive. Please support small business.

Restaurantji Recommends
One of the few places in the LA area that offer fresh pho. The food was very good and came out very quickly. We ask to swap out the regular pho noodle with fresh pho noodle and the restaurant was very accommodating. This place is now the go to place for pho if we don’t want to go far to OC area. Definitely recommend if you like fresh pho noodle!

One of the best pho in the entire region and there are a handful of boba stores all over Garvey in South El Monte. There are probably like a little over 50+ options for boba in South El Monte and my favorite combination in getting pho here and then getting 7Leaves down the street. South El Monte is a community with some of the best world-class boba outside of Taiwan. I was telling my friends in Tokyo about the wonderful community of South El Monte filled with Chinese, Taiwanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Hong Kong, and the most hidden gem food scene outside of Asia. I do wish Pho Hai would add boba drinks to their menu. They do serve Vietnamese Che however since there is also like 20+ other Vietnamese Che options in the city, I often find myself getting Bake&Che or other places instead.
Good Vietnamese food. The food portion is good and has a great taste. Better than most Vietnamese restaurants in that area.
