Ahhhhh ahhhh AHHHHH!

I've found my pho place finally in SGV!!! I frequent Vinh Ky in Garden Grove and I have been on the hunt for the same decadent bowl of pho rhat is closer to me in SGV. Holy Jeebus! I found it and I cant believe it has always been close tk me all along.

Great service & great food! Their chili oil is self serve and very good! Their Che desserts are not bad, too.

The only thing that was lacking is the amount of mint/basil that they serve with their bowls, but I understand since a lot of people dont use them but Im one of those people that wanr to see all green on my bowl. But no sweat, I just asked for more!!

Thanks Pho Hai, I will be back!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to Rosemead and went to Pho Hai restaurant on Garvey street, corner of Rosemead. I went with two people and ordered 2 dishes: Hue beef noodle soup and bucket-encrusted pho... Hue beef noodle soup that the store cooked had pork leg meat with skin on it but on it The skin is full of feathers that must not be shaved or plucked when eating. Seeing the thigh meat full of feathers is very flavorless to enjoy. Looking at it makes the chicken skin so creepy that it cannot be eaten. What do you think? I called the restaurant owner over and said why don't you chefs remove the feathers before cooking this piece of meat? It looks too greasy and cannot be eaten. The owner said this thigh meat is cooked however it comes, it usually has feathers and is cooked with hair is a normal thing, the owner was not aware of the shop's business and said it was normal for thigh meat to have hair on it, so how could it be pulled out? It's really irresponsible and unhygienic. really... What do you think when you see a piece of meat still full of hair when you eat and are about to put that piece of meat in your mouth, can you put that meat and hair full in your mouth.. I think it's unhygienic and inedible. This way of cooking is sad, causing our Vietnamese food industry to be affected if foreign customers come to enjoy it.

Not sure what happened to then. I think they changed owners or chefs. I came on Friday 4/19 around 9am and their pho was not good anymore. The soup had a soysauce flavor which is a definite no no for pho. Noodles were mushy and starchy. What happened? I couldn't finish the the bowl. It was not good, hopefully they were just having an off day.Good news is they still pile on the meats.

3:00 on a weekday, few people. Just my kind of vibe.
Absolutely love their spring rolls. Pretty sure they were made fresh because they came after the pho. Big. 4 big pieces. Love it.

Went back. Pieces weren't as big as I remember. Maybe I was just hungry ?‍♂️
