Super awesome to see, South El Monte has so much Asian foods and they are all delicious. A lot of people in South El Monte love Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese cultures and so the businesses in the area thrive. I also enjoy getting Korean BBQ meats in the South El Monte City or a nice hot meal at the Daikokuya Japanese Ramen place on Garvey. I noticed that a lot of people in Korean Town over in Los Angeles were starting to purchase up commercial real estate and launch businesses in South El Monte. In a recent merger and acquisition of a major grocery store business chain in South El Monte, it had become Korean owned as well and started to add many awesome products such as canned boba drinks. South El Monte is one of the most vibrant, diverse, and sweet pockets of hidden gem Asian foods in California and the San Gabriel Valley. When I go to school on the East Coast, I really miss it.
for the price, it's perfect. i encourage you to order way too much, and definitely get the duck and roast pork.
look, it's not the "worlds best duck" or whatever. but it's SOLID. to me, a solid, consistent place deserves 5 stars. the folks there are nice too. helps if you speak mando or Canto but the menu has English translations. and cash only!!

Unfriendly service and mid environment. The store closed so early. 8 pm is when people just get off work! And your kitchen start cleaning up with all the soap and stuff at 7:20? And also it’s cash only. Don’t forget.

Cash only! Pork belly as of Feburary 17, 2025 is $21.99 a pound worth it. I know it's more expensive than other places but this place has really mastered there craft of making roasted pork belly. I always stop by here if I'm in the area. I'm a large hispanic male that's eaten chicharron all my life and this place really impresses.

The service in this store is terrible. I queued up here to buy roasted pork belly in the evening and have been waiting for 20 minutes. The pork belly hanging on the top was almost sold out. I looked at it and thought I would probably buy the last one. Come here now. There was a person who didn't queue up and I casually asked the people in the store to cut the last piece for him. When I came to me, the people inside said that they would have to wait for another 20 minutes after they were sold out. The woman who counted the money had a very bad attitude and didn't realize that they were at fault. Instead, when talking to me The tone is very bad. This kind of store has no trading rules at all. It’s too bad.
Food is served so quick. Very delicious and Authentic. I always come for the crispy pork belly combo with rice and bok choy.

Eggplant with garlic sauce so so. Soup no good. The fish-flavored eggplant tastes like the soup is made from seasoning packets. There is Laohuo soup, but the taste is too bland and not authentic.

Government should look into this joint. They only take cash. But they tax you like crazy as well. Their duck tasted very bad, like a week old
The food is very good here especially the BBQ pork the skin is very crispy and crunchy not chewy. Other dishes are good and the price is very reasonable. The portion are big as well.

This is the best roast pork I have ever eaten in LA. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender. Although the dining environment is a bit rough, it is still very clean. The owners speak Cantonese and their English is very average, so please ask for communication. Be more patient.

Today I want to eat roasted pork rice. I found this restaurant on the map and charged me 17.5 for a double meal. This price is only 2.5 different from the buffet I had yesterday. But the difference is obvious at a glance and I can’t bear to order more meat. The vegetables are also very stale and never fresh. Will go

Came by for the first time ever in 04/22/2024 during the morning hours while vacationing in CA. Ordered some roasted pork to go and it was amazing! I will definitely be coming back again if I am in the area.
