I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A MEXICAN SEAFOOD RESTAURANT THAT MAKES THE CATFISH/BAGRE LIKE LA CABANA IN EAST LA THAT CLOSED DOWN SEVERAL YEARS AGO. THE CATFISH WAS SUPERB THE WHOLE FIS CRISPY ON THE OUTSIDE TENDER AND DELICIOUS ON THE INSIDE EASILY ON PAR WITH LA CABANA. NICE CLEAN RESTAURANT SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!! I WILL BE COMING HERE FROM NOW ON A FEW TIMES A MONTH MINIMUM. I HAVE INFORMED DOZENS OF MY FRIENDS THAT I TOOK TO LA CABANA. THANK YOU MARISCOS SAN ISIDRO

Honestly , I wanted to like this restaurant. The atmosphere is great , the food was good with the exception of the oysters , they were sour and tasted bad which so dangerous to consumers. I am an avid oyster connessiuer and these were not good. They didn't believe they were bad and I had to haggle to get them off the bill. I wish they treated customers better, maybe I'll stop by again and see if the service improved

I grew up here in San Gabriel valley area. Was our spot every Friday night or Sunday morning in the 90s and early 2000 I haven't been there for years. I hope to come and visit soonâ„ïžđ„°

I feel really bad leaving this review because my family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and it was always great. Unfortunately, the quality has completely gone downhill. Iâm not sure if there was a change in ownership, but both the service and food have significantly declined.
We ordered the camarones para pelar, and they were nothing like they used to beâjust shrimp drenched in a strange BBQ sauce mix. The tostada de jaiva, which used to be one of their signature dishes, had absolutely no flavor. The service was just as disappointing. It took over 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and our food didnât arrive until more than an hour later. No one checked on us, and I eventually had to get up and walk to the bar just to pay the check.
The tacos de camarĂłn enchilado were also a letdownâthe tortilla fell apart the moment I picked it up. This place used to be one of our favorites, but sadly, we wonât be coming back. We couldnât even finish our food, yet we still paid the bill and ended up going to In-N-Out afterward just to get something decent to eat.
