Base Camp Pizza Co.

I am used to a cheese-less pie so I don’t really care if a place doesn’t have vegan cheese but I know that’s really important to some folks, so it’s lame they don’t have it. At any rate, the regular crust is vegan so I just ordered the roasted veggie pizza without cheese and added mushrooms and it was pretty tasty! Would def eat there again. The woman that waited on us was also disappointed that they didn’t have vegan cheese - but keep asking so they know there is a demand. 😉

The pizza was good, but nothing amazing and at the price they charged it should have been.

Base Camp has some delicious pizza! The garlic chips as a little appetizer is a must try. They have live music fairly often which just adds to the vibe of being in Heavenly enjoying some great food at Base Camp.

Excellent service, a bit crowded but it was to be expected, overall was a chill place. Now the food, can’t lie, I loved the Gouda Mac and Cheese with ham (added a jalapeño for some spice) the spinach dip with warm pita chips was also great. We have yet to try the pizza, we ordered a personal to go for latter! Highly recommended.

The pizza was just okay, nothing special. We ordered a 10-piece wing for $20, and the total bill came out to $65 with an automatic gratuity of 15-18% (I can’t remember the exact amount). Honestly, the hype did not live up to expectations. Everyone was saying it’s the best pizza in South Lake Tahoe, but I’d have to disagree. I’ll be passing on this place next time.

So much flavor in the BBQ Chicken Bacon Pizza! The spinach artichoke dip was great and the pita bread served with it was out of this world delicious!

Amazing food, great service. The hummus appetizer is incredible. Delicious olives, creamy hummus, and tangy feta paired with crispy, perfectly seasoned pita slices. Everyone loved it. Pasta and pizza were great as well! And the gluten-free pizza has a thick, fluffy crust - it was even better than the gluten crust!

Touristy pizza place that treats you like you'll return. Broad selection of pies, if there isn't an option you like on this menu, they'll probably find a way to make a special pie to your liking. Multiple great options for apps. Service is very fast. They quoted a 15-20 minute wait for a table and were ready in 5. App came out very quickly. (Mozz sticks were a tad thick in the cheese) Pies didn't wait much longer. Perfect crust thickness with generous toppings. Friendly and attentive service. Usually a musician on the outdoor patio. It will fill you up and you'll want to return.

Parking: Free lot across the street or paid garage. Expect changes with free lot once Target opens.
