“With reservations the wait was about 5-10 minutes. Beautiful dining area. The food was good. Wait time from order to table about 25 minutes. Sever was friendly. Coffee cup and water glasses sat empty for 15-20 minutes. Not terrible but needs a few tweaks for me to give an outstanding rating.”

Super busy restaurant, but with a uniquely friendly atmosphere and staff. I tried the sausage platter and schweinshaxe. The sausages were all delicious and I would recommend to try the game ones as well. The side items they are served with as well as the variety of mustards allowed for plenty of flavor combinations. Not as impressed with the schweinshaxe as it is skinless, so you missed out on the fantastic crunch from the braised shoulder when served in such a way. Flavor-wise, still pretty good. Would recommend to try a draft flight as the beers were all delicious and none worth missing out on. Loved the interior, really feels like a little Bavarian drafthouse.”

The Chicken Hoagie is divine. I highly recommend the sandwich. Fresh baked bread and high quality ingredients.

The Gingerbread almond latte was okay, not sure which syrup it was but it overpowered the taste a bit. Still I recommend it to others!

Fantastic place and awesome staff. Can't wait to come back again.

“We had a small wedding reception here on August 19. We started in the garden until rain moved in and MacDuffs quickly moved us inside and upstairs. The food and service were excellent. Our waitress was awesome and working with MacDuffs beforehand was great too. We were a party of 18 from Michigan and everyone was very complimentary! Highly recommend!!’”

traditional and family-owned Mexican restaurant. there are six or seven tables to eat inside and they only take cash. super burrito is like a giant burrito and the ingredients are fresh and good quality. it's not a fancy place but I like the vibes of home atmosphere. prices are 20 to 30% lower or even better than other local Mexican restaurants.

“This place is an absolute gem. It's a very local hangout; quaint, friendly, tucked away. I feel lucky to have found it as a non-resident, to be honest! And the beer is really solid!

I'm a brewery fiend. I travel a lot, and everywhere I go I look for the local brewery/breweries. I've tasted some weird stuff, some great stuff, and some just plain bad stuff. Tahoe Brew House makes some of the great stuff.

This won't be your average brewery visit, but it will be well worth your time! And, if you're anything like me, you'll make the time to visit more than once.”

“It was our first time here and we were so impressed by the menu! Lots of great options and there’s something for everyone. We had a reservation and were quickly seated. I was pleasantly surprised to see a high chair, kids water cup and wikki stix waiting for our toddler. So thoughtful!

We started with a beer flight and were delighted by the variety of flavors from the Holla Back Heff to the Oktoberfest to the Mexican Chocolate Stout. Of course we had to have an IPA in there too, which was also really tasty!

For an appetizer, we shared the Elote dip which had great flavor and was big enough to share at a table for four. It was the perfect starter to our meal.

I ordered the shoyu ramen with pork belly and was impressed by all the fresh veggies it came with! My almost two year old toddler also loved munching on the julienne carrots and noodles that were cooked to perfection. There was lots of depth to the broth and the pork belly had a nice smokiness that was really delicious!

My husband got the fish and chips, which was a large portion of delicious beer battered rock cod and plenty of crispy fries (which helps when others at the table want to share your meal!). He also ordered a ski bum sour cocktail, made with milk wash bulleit, spiced apple simple syrup, lemon and nutmeg - which was flavorful and the right combination of sweet and sour.

We also ordered the chicken tendys for our son and had enough left over to pack for his lunch the next day.

For dessert, we had the chocolate cheesecake and key-lime pie. Both were yummy and felt like the perfect way to end our meal.

Overall, we loved ambiance of the restaurant and the service was exceptional. Definitely a family friendly atmosphere and will surely be our new go-to spot when in Tahoe.”

“This wonderful little place checks all the boxes. 1) The food is great and reasonably priced. Our party of four for lunch ordered two pizzas and one pasta and nobody left hungry. Everything we ordered was delicious and my companions were genuinely impressed. The pizza menu has some great offerings you don’t see too often outside Italy, including arugula and prosciutto atop pizza. The pasta and sauces are made in-house by the owner from northern Italy as well!! The beer and wine list is small, but well curated with something for everyone. Even the espresso exceeded my expectations. 2) The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Even if you peek inside the open kitchen you’ll find everything clean, neat, and organized. 3) Most importantly, the staff, including the warm owners, are hospitable and welcoming. Everyone was kind and all of our needs were taken care of without our having to ask. A family with two younger children came in after us and they were given the same care and attention that we received. Our experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was top-notch and I can’t recommend the place enough.”

However, portions are small. The filet is literally tweezer food. Like it could have been one course of a 10 course tasting menu, that small. The gratin potatoes were really good but was (no joke) one mouthful. Also, I’m not certain that it was 6oz. petite filet as our server mentioned but maybe 6 thin slices, 4oz at best. There was no sharing, I ate that shiz in 4 bites, $26. I’m all for high quality and I’m happy to pay $60-75 for a New York (not even the best cut, obviously not Morton’s steakhouse prices or portions with super inflated white collar independent steakhouse prices, or even like Paul Flemings steakhouse quality, you know Paul Fleming right, the PF Chang’s parent company) but knock my socks off guys, like make those the 4 best bites I’ve ever put in my mouth.”

For entrees, we had the mushroom ravioli and the scallops - yum! Cooked perfectly, and the sauces were rich and flavorful, will definitely order these again! They also catered an amazing desert table this past weekend for a family event. My only complaint is the deserts were so good, they were completely gone by the end of the night and I wasn’t able to take any home. My Family and I have been going to Tahoe for all of our lives and somehow we have missed this A+ Chinese Restaurant.

We were in the mood to try something new, and we decided on Chinese food. After we did a search on google, Hunan Garden caught our eye. With a wide range of food from hearty soups to flavorful dishes of rice, orange chicken, chow mein, shrimp (tons of different variations) and the list goes on!

The service was absolutely amazing! We never had to ask for drink refills, our waiter was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything.

From the time we placed our order to receiving the food was fast. When it comes to portion sizes Hunan Garden doesn’t hold back. We order a variety of things to try out. We are a family of 5 but when the food came, it look like they were serving an army ?. The food tastes as good as it looks. Everything was cooked to perfection!

You can tell the workers have a lot of pride in what they do. Waiters giving A+ service, the cooks making amazing dishes, and to the busser making sure the restaurant is spotless and it was!

If you’re looking for an amazing Chinese restaurant look no further because Hunan Garden Restaurant is everything you’re looking for and more!”

So we decided to go to the nearest mcdonald's for a while, hoping to be home in a while. While eating fries at mcdonald's, one employee gave us extra fries, pies, and chocolate chip cookies. This is a perfect stop for anyone wanting a cozy chill treat in Lake Tahoe • SPANISH FRIENDLY ?? • modern but mountain-y cafe vibes. Cashier was very friendly, and there is indoor and outdoor seating. They have menus on a big screen behind the register but paper menus you can read closer as well —

Parking: On the left hand side of the cafe there is a drive in that is not paved you can park right next to the little shop - otherwise there is free marked parking on the side of the road if you turn on the right hand corner”
