“Super friend staff and amazing food! Everyone was so friendly and helpful but, most importantly, the food was SO good! My husband and I both got different omelets and both were so good. We ate until we were beyond stuffed because the food was THAT good! He got a Bloody Mary that was one of the best I’ve had out here and I got a mimosa. Perfect little brunch atmosphere and set up! ❤️ You can not visit Lake Tahoe and pass this honey up!“

“Never had empanadas and Empanash didn’t let me down! I ordered on Door Dash and picked up. I got the Namaste (eggplant, delicious), the Spicy Henhouse (delicious and incredibly spicy), the All Beef’d Up (good flavor, a little too much beef for me), and the Cinnamon Roll Churro (this was way better than expected - I would come back here just for this). Ordered to go, ate at the beach and watched the sunset over the mountains, what more could you want. Only complaint, I asked for Chimichurri for the my sauce and got what was almost a salsa dip. It was good, but probably would have been elevated with the churri.

“Excellent breakfast and service!! We ate here every morning on our vacation!! Every single staff member was on point the entire time! From the time we walked in, until we were done, everyone was very attentive and friendly. We talked about the service every day. The food was absolutely wonderful and if we’re ever back in the area we will most definitely be back at Ernie’s again!!“

“We had a small wedding reception here on August 19. We started in the garden until rain moved in and MacDuffs quickly moved us inside and upstairs. The food and service were excellent. Our waitress was awesome and working with MacDuffs beforehand was great too. We were a party of 18 from Michigan and everyone was very complimentary! Highly recommend!!’“

“The food is good! Good flavors, not the best value but overall it's good. I would come again. I have the super spicy burrito and I would recommend it. The tacos come super plain and they are pretty small for $3.50 a pop. The quesidilla is good. The only meat I tried was the carne asada. Didn't get any pieces of fat or other weird textures. I will be back again the next time I visit Tahoe. Cash only here.. And pay after you eat. Parking can get tight when it's packed. It's not too far from the main strip of South Tahoe“

“This review is for those looking for real Chinese food, especially if you are native Chinese or Chinese origin or foodie with real Chinese experience. In small towns, almost all Chinese restaurant owners have to dumb down to suit “American Chinese” taste which is a refined version of what is called the Panda Express crowd. If you enjoy that kind of food, please don’t read any further. If you understand real Chinese cuisine, then this cook is a genuine Cantonese cuisine cook. We asked whether they could make a special order of congee, and they agreed! They said it would take 2-4 hours to cook. It was worth the wait to order for the next meal. Any Chinese can make congee, but their congee was special as it brought a taste of Guanzhou and recollectionsoo of food in Guanzhou and Hong Kong. Thanks for the totally unexpected experience in Lake Tahoe of all places!“

The service here was sublime and the calm, crisp, atmoshphere backgrouned with the breath taking views was serene. We arrived as a group of 6 and were promptly and quickly seated after reviewing the menu. Everything on the menu was appealing, appeitizing, and organized so making the choice was simple. Personally, I ordered the Hot Oatmeal with Rasins and Brown Sugar while, my Mother got the Avacado Toast. The Hot Oatmeal was delicious- the texture and grains were a perfect consistency blended with the tarty rasins and sprinkled with the brown sugar. The Avacado Toast we ended up spilting and sharing with one another which tasted perfect with the citrusy, chopped tomatoes which complimented the savory Avacado Toast. Overall the dining experience was brilliant- coupled with Lake Tahoes brisk, green and natural beauty. Compliments to the Owner, Chef and staff! 5/5 from the whole family.“

I genuinely think this is the best meal I've had in a long time. The ambiance is perfect for couple looking for a quiet date night in Tahoe. I think my only critique is that there should be 3 pieces of lamb in that dish instead of 2. A perfect evening to eat a delicious meal and spot a bear strolling down the street after dinner.“

“To start with, all the food was served piping hot (not spicy hot) which is always good. We ordered two kinds of beef. So similar in flavor we couldn't tell them apart. Too many bell peppers in all the dishes. The house chowmein had delicious flavor but the noodles could have been cooked a tiny bit more.“

“Will start off by saying the food was great! However the hostess was another story. Recwntly had dinner on 8/11/24. The hostess would not let us sit at the table to start ordering drinks because we were missing 2 out of the 8 people in our group. needless to say we already had 6 ready to be seated. once we were seated the table next to us had the umbrella slanted. this caused the table to fly over from a gust of wind shattering a plate and cutting my leg. the stay was kind enough to provided a wipe and some bandaid. We continued our night until the hostess decided to empty water cups from other guest into the flower bed behind us. Which then caused the dirt to splash up on one of our guest white shirts and be covered in mud. A smug sorry was replied out. As stated before the food was terrific and the wait staff was great but the hostess needs to be replaced.“
