“Nice place tucked into the back of a strip mall. The server was nice and the sushi was good. We got like 5 different kinds and they were all pretty good. The one funny thing we all noted was the strange and very mellow music that was playing the whole time we were there. It was a little bizzare, but the food was good, and that's all that matters.“

“We did the buy 6 and get one free for $50 as take out for a picnic. That comes out to around 7 per empanada. We loved it! It fed two adults and 2 kids with one left over. Everything was authentic and delicious! Highly recommend the beef with chimichurri sauce. The chimichurri was a highlight, it was chopped rather than blended, which adds a nice authentic touch and enhances the flavor in my opinion. My husband loved the hammer empanada. The service was great with friendly staff. I love to support local small businesses, especially restaurants; and it’s very satisfying when the restaurant is fantastic like this one! “We had a small wedding reception here on August 19. We started in the garden until rain moved in and MacDuffs quickly moved us inside and upstairs. The food and service were excellent. Our waitress was awesome and working with MacDuffs beforehand was great too. We were a party of 18 from Michigan and everyone was very complimentary! Highly recommend!!’“

“The food is good! Good flavors, not the best value but overall it's good. I would come again. I have the super spicy burrito and I would recommend it. The tacos come super plain and they are pretty small for $3.50 a pop. The quesidilla is good. The only meat I tried was the carne asada. Didn't get any pieces of fat or other weird textures. I will be back again the next time I visit Tahoe. Cash only here.. And pay after you eat. Parking can get tight when it's packed. It's not too far from the main strip of South Tahoe“

The service here was sublime and the calm, crisp, atmoshphere backgrouned with the breath taking views was serene. We arrived as a group of 6 and were promptly and quickly seated after reviewing the menu. Everything on the menu was appealing, appeitizing, and organized so making the choice was simple. Personally, I ordered the Hot Oatmeal with Rasins and Brown Sugar while, my Mother got the Avacado Toast. The Hot Oatmeal was delicious- the texture and grains were a perfect consistency blended with the tarty rasins and sprinkled with the brown sugar. The Avacado Toast we ended up spilting and sharing with one another which tasted perfect with the citrusy, chopped tomatoes which complimented the savory Avacado Toast. Overall the dining experience was brilliant- coupled with Lake Tahoes brisk, green and natural beauty. Compliments to the Owner, Chef and staff! 5/5 from the whole family.“

“This review is for those looking for real Chinese food, especially if you are native Chinese or Chinese origin or foodie with real Chinese experience. In small towns, almost all Chinese restaurant owners have to dumb down to suit “American Chinese” taste which is a refined version of what is called the Panda Express crowd. If you enjoy that kind of food, please don’t read any further. If you understand real Chinese cuisine, then this cook is a genuine Cantonese cuisine cook. We asked whether they could make a special order of congee, and they agreed! They said it would take 2-4 hours to cook. It was worth the wait to order for the next meal. Any Chinese can make congee, but their congee was special as it brought a taste of Guanzhou and recollectionsoo of food in Guanzhou and Hong Kong. Thanks for the totally unexpected experience in Lake Tahoe of all places!“

“What an absolutely incredible spot. I will definitely be back. We ate here twice while in the area for 3 days. We came once for dinner and once for breakfast and it was the best food we had in Tahoe-hands down! We had the crudo, fried stuffed olives and truffle fries to share as starters. I’d never had fried olives and they were so tasty. The crudo was so tender and the truffle fries were perfect. I had the braised short ribs for dinner and I don’t think I’ve ever had better (and it’s my staple that I make myself when we have company so I’m biased!!!). The food quality is exceptional. They had an incredible wine list (I can’t remember which bottles we had-but we had lots and it was amazing), but don’t miss out on the cocktails & mocktails (I had the Harriet mocktail and my husband had the Clara cocktail and they were both delicious). The ambiance is elevated and high end while remaining casual and friendly- which is a hard balance to strike. We were here in late summer/early fall but I can only imagine how cozy this place would be in the winter after a ski day. For breakfast I had the cherry apple baked oats and it was divine! The staff are all super friendly & the service was great. There was a line up to get in both times we went but it’s totally worth the wait. Don’t miss this gem!“

“The Oyster Bar is definitely a must if you are in South Lake Tahoe. They offer a half or full dozen oysters. The oyster shooters are also a double shot. They are open late so perfect when wanting to get a late night bite or a break from the scene. Always a treat whenever we are in Tahoe! You won’t be disappointed.

This place did not disappoint, this time we ordered the jambalaya, dozen oysters, oyster bloody mary shooters & bouillabaisse! All so delicious, & they are open late until 11 pm! Definitely worth your time and 💰“

Make the long windy cool scenic bike ride along the shore line to get to this super cute little marina and shop with a tiny sand beach area. Surprisingly really good chicken strips and tots. Plenty of food and beverages and market items and tourist shwag.

Their team had fantastic communication throughout the planning process (shout out to Andreas), showing up right on time to handle the entire setup. The food presentation was beautiful, and the dishes tasted absolutely incredible. They serve massive portions, so all of our guests left completely full and happy. To top it all off, they handled the entire cleanup and left the space perfectly clean. If you want amazing Mexican food and stress-free service for your next event, hire them!“

“Will start off by saying the food was great! However the hostess was another story. Recwntly had dinner on 8/11/24. The hostess would not let us sit at the table to start ordering drinks because we were missing 2 out of the 8 people in our group. needless to say we already had 6 ready to be seated. once we were seated the table next to us had the umbrella slanted. this caused the table to fly over from a gust of wind shattering a plate and cutting my leg. the stay was kind enough to provided a wipe and some bandaid. We continued our night until the hostess decided to empty water cups from other guest into the flower bed behind us. Which then caused the dirt to splash up on one of our guest white shirts and be covered in mud. A smug sorry was replied out. As stated before the food was terrific and the wait staff was great but the hostess needs to be replaced.“

They asked us what our timeline was and provided information on drinks and menu specials. The wait staff was very personable and helpful. Our food was off the charts. We ordered beef options, sea bass and a vegetarian plate. The appetizers, salads and sides all complemented our meals. Truly a top notch experience.“
