“We eat here about 6 times a year, Virginia City is our home away from home, and this Cafe is our favorite breakfast place! We take the short drive down to Dayton usually on the last day of vacation, but if we go earlier in our trip we always go back the last day, as we want it to be the last place we eat before leaving! You will not be disappointed! Did I mention my favorite dish is their Huevos Rancheros! Steve's is their Chicken Fried Steak 'smothered and covered'!“

“Tried two of each chicken and pork red salsa tamales.Meat in both tamales was well seasoned and tasty with plenty of sauce inside as well. The masa was also well seasoned and flavorful in both. Moisture was perfect with my preferred masa consistency. Served with a side of green salsa that was delicious.Transplant from the Arizona Mexican border I've been in the Reno/Carson area for over 7 years.I've tried street vendor tamales, fundraising tamales, tamales from local restaurants, my all-time disappointment, FB marketplace $30 a dozen tamales. The Lady Tamales By far, the best tamales in this area I've tasted with the best per dozen prices.

Parking: There is plenty of parking with a large lot and easy street access for an rv.“

“What a great saloon! Everytime I come here I feel welcome and appreciated. The owners care about you and make sure you are happy and satisfied. They may be "new" but they are the most genuine, friendly and authentic people. A giant plus currently is that they have two TV's for football playing constantly and an owner who loves the game. They are and will continue to be actively involved in their community I'm sure. This veteran operated bar is a must stop if you want to find some conversation and leave with new friends!“

“Loved Mother's Day lunch here today. Despite the crowds, the hardworking staff was unfailingly gracious and the delicious food was worth the wait while the kitchen was on overdrive. Best mahi mahi tacos ever and big windows open to the fresh air and scenery. Well worth the walk to the south side of town.“

“Pretty good salvadorian food i got yucca fritta, which was excellent, and some pupusas the pupusas are really good they make them to order. The yucca comes with weird fried pork which are okay but not really what i want, i think that's why the yucca frita is kind of expensive. Would go back decent little spot. But it does take a while for the pupusas so if you're in a hurry order before I get there.

Parking: Parking mostly in the back, and there's not many spots.“

“Never been to Virginia city before, but this place came highly recommended and did not disappoint! The entire town is a treasure and Jerky Co will definitely be a place we will make sure to hit when we come back again. Suggest the tri-tip sandwich and potato salad. They have PBR tall boys. And shots. The seating is all outdoors and really gives you a good small town feeling.“

“This is our number one place to eat in Virginia city. Every time we have family in from out of town, Virginia city and lunch at Red Dog Saloon is a MUST! The staff is downright amazing. Always so friendly, kind, and accommodating. The prices on food may seem high, but you get a quality and quantity for the price you pay.Also, their bathrooms are ALWAYS clean.This restaurant is a family staple and a prized place in the eyes of our family. “Had a great stay here a couple a weeks ago for a relative's 100-year birthday. I can't say thanks enough for opening the restaurant to provide for dinner outside hours when the downtown was shutdown for snow conditions. I stayed in The Bullion, across the street. While hoping to see ghosts :), I was, instead, left with rooms that were clean, warm, and that would lead me to stay again if visiting Virginia City. Additionally, restaurant food was delicious. Thank you!“

“Good food cooked to order, burger was ordered and served rare (most places cook to medium rare when burgers are ordered rare) wife had the alfredo with grilled chicken. Food was good, service was a bit disorganized and unfortunately the dining room was a bit crowded. Prices were moderate for the area, if dinner hadn't been included with our tour most likely would have passed and missed out!

Parking: Parking is located in front of, across the street from, and next door to the Gold Hill Hotel

Kid-friendliness: Unfortunately, it's more of a spot for grown-ups than families with small children. Teenagers would suffer and feel fancy in here“

Las fajitas y la sopa de tortilla que degustamos fueron tan buenas que hoy me encuentro haciendo este review sentado nuevamente en una mesa del Restaurante Águila Real ordenando nuevamente la Sopa de tortilla y probando otro nuevo platillo el cual estoy seguro estará delicioso.
