“This is is fun bar that welcomes everyone. The bartenders are friendly and personal. Peter the Owner is a fun and lively individual who makes this bar feel like home for everyone that walks in its doors. There is a wide selection of drinks so there is something for everyone. I had the house special: Tickle My Pickle. If you love pickles, this is the drink for you! It is all pickles and puts a smile on your face. I hope this drink sticks around for a good while“

“Loved Mother's Day lunch here today. Despite the crowds, the hardworking staff was unfailingly gracious and the delicious food was worth the wait while the kitchen was on overdrive. Best mahi mahi tacos ever and big windows open to the fresh air and scenery. Well worth the walk to the south side of town.“

“This is our number one place to eat in Virginia city. Every time we have family in from out of town, Virginia city and lunch at Red Dog Saloon is a MUST! The staff is downright amazing. Always so friendly, kind, and accommodating. The prices on food may seem high, but you get a quality and quantity for the price you pay.Also, their bathrooms are ALWAYS clean.This restaurant is a family staple and a prized place in the eyes of our family. “Had a great stay here a couple a weeks ago for a relative's 100-year birthday. I can't say thanks enough for opening the restaurant to provide for dinner outside hours when the downtown was shutdown for snow conditions. I stayed in The Bullion, across the street. While hoping to see ghosts :), I was, instead, left with rooms that were clean, warm, and that would lead me to stay again if visiting Virginia City. Additionally, restaurant food was delicious. Thank you!“

“Forgot to take pictures before we ate it all. The owners we wonderful and lets us try some of the jerky before we decided which flavors to buy, they are all good. We also decided to eat lunch. Really one of our favorite bbq places we have stopped in. Not overly sauced, great deep smoke ring/flavor. Bread was toasted so held up to pulled pork with slaw in it. Had their baked beans too very good and lots of chili flavor.I thought the pricing was very fair and a sandwich was big enough to easily split between two people if you each get a side. Seating was outside but was covered and there is a great view from their patio.“

“Good food cooked to order, burger was ordered and served rare (most places cook to medium rare when burgers are ordered rare) wife had the alfredo with grilled chicken. Food was good, service was a bit disorganized and unfortunately the dining room was a bit crowded. Prices were moderate for the area, if dinner hadn't been included with our tour most likely would have passed and missed out!Parking: Parking is located in front of, across the street from, and next door to the Gold Hill HotelKid-friendliness: Unfortunately, it's more of a spot for grown-ups than families with small children.
