“We did the buy 6 and get one free for $50 as take out for a picnic. That comes out to around 7 per empanada. We loved it! It fed two adults and 2 kids with one left over. Everything was authentic and delicious! Highly recommend the beef with chimichurri sauce. The chimichurri was a highlight, it was chopped rather than blended, which adds a nice authentic touch and enhances the flavor in my opinion. My husband loved the hammer empanada. The service was great with friendly staff. I love to support local small businesses, especially restaurants; and it’s very satisfying when the restaurant is fantastic like this one! “The breakfast I had this morning will be the breakfast against which all breakfasts will be measured. The French toast I ordered was the best I’ve ever had. My companion had the chicken fried steak breakfast. He declared it perfect! And the hospitality? Second to none! I give it an 11/10!“

The service here was sublime and the calm, crisp, atmoshphere backgrouned with the breath taking views was serene. We arrived as a group of 6 and were promptly and quickly seated after reviewing the menu. Everything on the menu was appealing, appeitizing, and organized so making the choice was simple. Personally, I ordered the Hot Oatmeal with Rasins and Brown Sugar while, my Mother got the Avacado Toast. The Hot Oatmeal was delicious- the texture and grains were a perfect consistency blended with the tarty rasins and sprinkled with the brown sugar. The Avacado Toast we ended up spilting and sharing with one another which tasted perfect with the citrusy, chopped tomatoes which complimented the savory Avacado Toast. Overall the dining experience was brilliant- coupled with Lake Tahoes brisk, green and natural beauty. Compliments to the Owner, Chef and staff! 5/5 from the whole family.“

In small towns, almost all Chinese restaurant owners have to dumb down to suit “American Chinese” taste which is a refined version of what is called the Panda Express crowd. If you enjoy that kind of food, please don’t read any further. If you understand real Chinese cuisine, then this cook is a genuine Cantonese cuisine cook. We asked whether they could make a special order of congee, and they agreed! They said it would take 2-4 hours to cook. It was worth the wait to order for the next meal. Any Chinese can make congee, but their congee was special as it brought a taste of Guanzhou and recollectionsoo of food in Guanzhou and Hong Kong. Thanks for the totally unexpected experience in Lake Tahoe of all places!“

“What an absolutely incredible spot. I will definitely be back. We ate here twice while in the area for 3 days. We came once for dinner and once for breakfast and it was the best food we had in Tahoe-hands down! We had the crudo, fried stuffed olives and truffle fries to share as starters. I’d never had fried olives and they were so tasty. The crudo was so tender and the truffle fries were perfect. I had the braised short ribs for dinner and I don’t think I’ve ever had better (and it’s my staple that I make myself when we have company so I’m biased!!!). The food quality is exceptional. They had an incredible wine list (I can’t remember which bottles we had-but we had lots and it was amazing), but don’t miss out on the cocktails & mocktails (I had the Harriet mocktail and my husband had the Clara cocktail and they were both delicious). The ambiance is elevated and high end while remaining casual and friendly- which is a hard balance to strike. We were here in late summer/early fall but I can only imagine how cozy this place would be in the winter after a ski day. For breakfast I had the cherry apple baked oats and it was divine! The staff are all super friendly & the service was great. There was a line up to get in both times we went but it’s totally worth the wait. Don’t miss this gem!“

“I was highly skeptical of this place. The loft? Magic show and food? Oh boy how wrong I was.

Drinks are creative, taste good, and have a good kick. The food? Amazing tapas. The duck tacos were a pleasant and yummy surprise.

My only regret is not going twice during my trip, but time was short.

“Will start off by saying the food was great! However the hostess was another story. Recwntly had dinner on 8/11/24. The hostess would not let us sit at the table to start ordering drinks because we were missing 2 out of the 8 people in our group. needless to say we already had 6 ready to be seated. once we were seated the table next to us had the umbrella slanted. this caused the table to fly over from a gust of wind shattering a plate and cutting my leg. the stay was kind enough to provided a wipe and some bandaid. We continued our night until the hostess decided to empty water cups from other guest into the flower bed behind us. Which then caused the dirt to splash up on one of our guest white shirts and be covered in mud. A smug sorry was replied out. As stated before the food was terrific and the wait staff was great but the hostess needs to be replaced.“

“We were a table of 6 people celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary and a 59th birthday. We were promptly seated and immediately taken care of. Our service was impeccable. They asked us what our timeline was and provided information on drinks and menu specials. The wait staff was very personable and helpful. Our food was off the charts. We ordered beef options, sea bass and a vegetarian plate. The appetizers, salads and sides all complemented our meals. Truly a top notch experience.“

Sandwiches are good. The side salads are really good. Everything carries the "Tahoe tax" aka overpriced. Love the vibes and we come here often just to eat around the fire pits“
