“Love love loved this place. It's a cute little restaurant inside a grocery store. They have outdoor seating but we were in in a snow storm, so had to manage with the limited space indoors. But the food and the people were so good. My husband took the leaf eater and I took the teriyaki udon noodle soup. Both were Yum. We even took a pesto baguette to-go. Everything about this place is to fall in love with. ?

Vegetarian options: There are quite few options for vegetarians in sandwiches and noodle soups.. Plus many salad options.“

“This restaurant is fantastic! Lukas was one of the best servers I have come across. They have unique and flavorful twists on traditional Scandinavian dishes. And the manager Jeff sources local foods. The ahi appetizer in cones was a recommendation from Jeff and did not disappoint. Our Schnitzel was fabulous and so was the elk pot pie. It was quiet at the time we happened to be there so we got to chat a bit. We learned that the owner’s daughter is the pastry chef so we had to try the cheesecake. Also delicious. It was just a great dining experience.“

“A bike event on Sunday turned into a cold, rainy, windy, miserable day. We went to The Dam Cafe for hot chocolate and got so much love! The owner not only welcomed the wet, muddy riders in, she put out space heaters and wrapped us in blankets! Amazing! I was so cold and was warmed both physically and emotionally by the kindness. The food and drink where delicious. Can’t say enough good things. A little cottage of heaven in Tahoe City!“

“The food is a little pricey, but very good! I got the pastrami sandwich. The music doesn’t match the vibe of a tap house at all. Also the service method is fast food design. You order and pay and take a number. Overall would get takeout for the food, but not enjoy in house again.“

“5 Stars for atmosphere out of gratitude to not have loud music! So rare now.
5 stars for excellent food, filled with fresh veggies and perfectly balanced flavors. All meals were huge. Lots of leftovers for us.
We had Rambuton with 5/10 heat, delicious with fresh veggies and plenty of prawns and chicken.
Tom kha a veggie noodle soup well loaded with veggies and great flavor
Spring rolls with, again, lots of fresh veggies and I chose their peanut sauce instead of plum because I like it.
And Spicy Fried rice with tofu instead of meats. Crispy fried tofu was not at all greasy and good texture.
