The Dam Cafe Reviews
A bike event on Sunday turned into a cold, rainy, windy, miserable day. We went to The Dam Cafe for hot chocolate and got so much love! The owner not only welcomed the wet, muddy riders in, she put out space heaters and wrapped us in blankets! Amazing! I was so cold and was warmed both physically and emotionally by the kindness. The food and drink where delicious. Can’t say enough good things. A little cottage of heaven in Tahoe City!
Best BLAT I’ve had!!! Took a little bit of time but well worth it!
This is one of the most authentic places in Tahoe City, great artisanal foods from a great crew and hands-on owners. Their breakfast Sandos are fantastic, the breakfast burrito both authentic and satisfying. Highly recommended!

The Dam Cafe in Tahoe is a popular spot known for its chai, iced mocha, and delicious breakfast options. It is a family-friendly place located across from the visitor center, offering both indoor and outdoor seating perfect for people watching. The staff is friendly, and many locals frequent the cafe, appreciating the adorable interior and excellent service. Visitors enjoy the breakfast sandwiches and burritos, although some may find them pricey. The cafe is praised for its lovely atmosphere, tasty offerings, and the occasional presence of live acoustic music, which adds to the lovely experience. However, some guests may be disappointed by high prices and the occasional presence of unleashed dogs, which could be problematic for those with allergies. Overall, The Dam Cafe is a great choice for those seeking a relaxed atmosphere and consistently delicious food.
