“We always enjoy getting Mountain Slice whether it's for the pizza, the ice cream, or both! Make sure to call early in the day to place an order for dinner as they get very busy and sell out. Today we ordered the tie dye pizza. I am allergic to tomatoes, so I ordered it without the vodka sauce and extra pesto. Had a little miscommunication on my end about the sauce, so when we picked it up it had a tomato sauce base. We explained what we had thought we ordered and the two guys working quickly made a fresh pie. Very thankful that they were so accommodating. The pizza was delicious with pesto as the base sauce! The dough is the star of the show. We've enjoyed both the regular style and the Detroit style pizzas here. Would love if they started doing some pizzas with other base sauces! Love that they are starting to do late nights with more arcade games, late night pizza, and beer. I think that's super fun and will draw in a cool crowd. Great option since nowhere else is open late. Go get the best pizza on the West Shore!“

“Great comfort food in a campy wood-paneled pub/yachtclub-style setting. Went there for lunch to grab some takeout, ended up waiting over 10 minutes to see much less speak to anyone. The place was busy with plenty of medium and large groups, the staff was overwhelmed to keep up. But once I was able to place my order the service was pretty quick. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would very much haven enjoyed sitting down at a table, there is also a bar.“

“Yelp does it again, helping us find another fabulous establishment. We were quite hungry after a drive and a little sightseeing and ready for a late lunch, preferably something healthy-ish. While there was an A-frame sign out front that said Bluefish, the establishment we walked into was more of a liquor store with small bar in front. We initially thought we were in the wrong place. Perhaps some of the reviews had mentioned this, but I hadn't dug deep. Luckily, after walking out of the store, we walked back in towards the back and located Bluefish. While there are some Poké combos you can choose from, you can also customize your own bowl. The four of us each decided to customize and we were not disappointed! At an hour before closing they were out of white rice, but we were all OK with eating brown rice (plus adds to health factor). You can select your protein, rice and/or salad, sauce(s) and unlimited toppings. I got spicy tuna, salmon, Yuzu something rather (Mayo) and garlic ponzu sauces and many yummy toppings. The fish was quite fresh tasting, the sauces on point (yuzu Mayo was great!) and the rice cooked just right. I really like that you can select an unlimited amount toppings when you customize your bowl, even avocado! The service was also good, especially the young lady working the front. She helped me with my canned margarita order, sharing a little story about the drink's creator, and was sweet enough to put my drink in a glass with ice. The liquor store also has quite a nice selection of wine, liquor, beer and other canned / bottled adult beverages (sorry, no pictures of their selection). And the section adjacent to Bluefish has a small selection of Asian market goods. My fam gave me props for finding another good place to eat at. 4.5 stars. Thanks Yelp for not letting us down!“

Cafe Zenon Breakfast • $$

“We decided to explore the area of Tahoe City and signed up to go ice skating. We were pleased to find a quaint lounge to get drinks and lunch here afterward. We had literally the best Bloody Mary's we've ever had (I ended up ordering a second one) and the food was great as well. The two gentlemen behind the bar were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning and are grateful for the excellent service and food/drinks.“

“Stopped by when we were in Tahoe and we wanted some coffee. The shop was super cozy and had cool decorations throughout. It was fairly busy and cramped. We got some coffee, cookies, and fruit smoothies. We loved the smoothies the most. The staff were very friendly and checked on our group which was nice. It's a great location by the lake and will stop by next time we're in town.“

“A Spicy Start to the Day at Crest Cafe & CateringCrest Cafe & Catering turned a regular morning into an unexpectedly delightful experience. In need of a quick breakfast fix, I swung by this cozy spot for a breakfast burrito and a drink with a personal twist – the "Angry Dirty Chai Tea Latte," a concoction I dreamed up back in Tucson.Initially met with a puzzled look from the barista, my request for a dirty chai latte spiked with cayenne pepper (to add that 'angry' kick) soon turned into an exciting challenge for her. She crafted the drink with enthusiasm, and the result? A perfectly spicy, warming beverage that hit all the right notes. The breakfast burrito was another win – packed with flavor and just the right amount of comfort to start the day. It's these little culinary victories that make Crest Cafe & Catering a go-to place for anyone in need of a quick, satisfying bite."For a fiery twist on your morning routine, Crest Cafe & Catering serves up the heat!"“

“Just having a meal in this cool spot is a treat in itself. Amazingly kind customer service, a beautiful interior with a lot of personality, and yummy food! The menu is basic breakfast and lunch foods but they indeed do a great job. The french fries have a thin crunchy crust on the outside. They also asked me if I want my corned beef hash crunchy and I said YES thanks for asking. As someone who orders corned beef hash everywhere that offers it, I was so happy that this is the 1st place that asked for my preference! I will make sure to come back here every time I am in the area. The thought of this place puts a smile on my face.Parking: Parking lot but most of it is too wet and muddy. We ended up parking on the next street over.“
