“The restaurant is excellent in every aspect. The food is amazing, offering a delightful array of flavors and textures. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff making the dining experience truly memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an exceptional culinary experience.“
“Great comfort food in a campy wood-paneled pub/yachtclub-style setting. Went there for lunch to grab some takeout, ended up waiting over 10 minutes to see much less speak to anyone. The place was busy with plenty of medium and large groups, the staff was overwhelmed to keep up. But once I was able to place my order the service was pretty quick. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would very much haven enjoyed sitting down at a table, there is also a bar.“
“Came here on a weeknight during a trip to Tahoe. We were seated immediately in a cozy area in the back, and our server was very kind and attentive. We started with sashimi and lobster tempura. The sashimi tasted fresh, and the tempura was perfectly crispy. We split the Thai seafood soup as our main. This was super flavorful and not too salty. We really enjoyed the service and ambiance here too!“
“Indoor and outdoor seatings available. Excellent service. Ambiance is a 5 out of 5. Beautiful lake view if you can sit outside. We grabbed a lite bite on this beautiful day. Food was just fair though. Calamari needed more seasoning. Spicy margarita had no kick. Caesar salad was average tasty. We didn't order much so I would go try other stuff.“
“If we plan on dining out we always consider Cedar House first depending on what the specials are. Haven't been disappointed yet as the location is most convenient to us, the dining room is quiet and comfortable, and the food is delicious and plentiful, so much so that we always have some to take home. We will continue to be repeat customers.“
“This place is a solid. Good food, good service. My salad had pears and candied pecans. Loved the taste, it all blended together perfectly. The Alaskan Halibut is the signature dish. The fish was a bit dry, but the lemon sauce made up for that. We topped it off with a bottle of Malbec. Altogether, a good meal. The menu had some good choices, the short ribs and pork chop looked very good. One of my friends had the short ribs and enjoyed them. The waiter was a bit of a cut-up. He had a young daughter with him, about 4 years old. The waiter told us his wife was at the bar. Then, little Ruth said "drinking water". Quiet place, good for a date night or a good meal with friends. Recommended.“
“The inside is totally cool. When we got there, they were busy. They had one dude at the front and woman behind the bar. Turned out she was bartending and serving. She was slammed but totally kicked ass. The buffalo mac balls were hella good and not too spicy. My son had the fig and brie grilled cheese. I had whiskey burger. Daughter had Salmon BLT. Everything was great. Service on point.“
“I'm bumping up to five stars because of value.. pricing is normal, not Tahoe premium. The menu is a diner menu, meatloaf, burgers, pot roast. On my server's recommendation I had pot roast and mashed potatoes. The serving was generous and the food was tasty. To my surprise the mashed potatoes were homemade, not powdered. I mentioned that to my server and he told me that most of the food on the menu was house made. The decor ... Well, it's one of those places that has a lot of stuff up on the wall if you know what I mean. Bicycles, skis, stuff. Little bit dingy but not bad. I will absolutely return. If you are looking for fancy or pretentious, this isn't it. If you're looking for home cooking at a reasonable price you have found it.“
“I visited River Ranch on my ski trip out West from NYC. I went with 4 other friends of mine and we had a nice dinner. The service took a little while to first attend to us when we sat down such as getting water or acknowledging us. But, we had a nice time. Everyone enjoyed their meals and my lamb shank was super amazing. I also had the best sweet potato maple cheesecake in my life here. It was close to the mountain where we stayed and I would return given the opportunity.“
“This is the best place in Tahoe City for burgers in the summer. Out door dining is the bomb and those burgers are charbroiled masterpieces. Waffle fries are my choice to go with these burgers.Parking is super tight in the summer and winter the snow takes up parts of the parking lot. Indoors is nice in the winter too. The burgers are the best thing here anytime of year.“
“Came here on a Friday night and secured a reservation through Yelp a few hours in advance. We were seated next to the window, which offered a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe. We started with the fried ahi poke roll, which was more like a spring roll. I thought the fish would be raw, as poke usually is, but I can understand that since the roll is fried...it would make more sense for it to be cooked. We then had the crab cakes, which were very flavorful. The accompanying sauce complemented the protein very well. For the main, we shared the cioppino, which was a generous portion. We thought the broth was on the salty side, but the seafood was cooked perfectly tender. Service was friendly and on point. Highly enjoyed the upscale resort ambiance.“
“This is our go to burger stop when in Tahoe City. Everything is pretty much haus made. The service is usually nice and welcoming. The ambiance is a chill bar vibe, but children are welcome. The sweet potato fries are delicious, the wings are yummy, burgers are a must try, and they have haus made specials.“
“Isaiah and Juan were very caring and thorough in all the many different steps that are needed to have a funeral service as well as the transition to burial location and service . I was complimented by our family members and guests on how beautiful the ceremony was as well as the flower arrangements. We live-streamed the funeral service so that people who could not attend could watch in Korea and Georgia and Irvine. I would strongly recommend Sunnyside Mortuary to families who wants to have a memorable funeral service.“
“Came here on a weeknight during a trip to Tahoe. We were seated in the bar area at a high top that still offered a nice view of the beautiful lake. We opted for the tasting menu. The first course was a kanpachi, which was very light and flavorful. Next was a delightful beet salad. I enjoyed the scallop and lamb dishes very much. I thought the service was underwhelming, as they asked for us to hold on to our silverware between courses, which I find less than ideal for an upscale restaurant, particularly for a tasting menu. It was also hard to summon our waiter, as he was quite elusive. Their house breads were fantastic, though, and I really enjoyed their house made olive oil and lavender infused butter. The triple chocolate dessert that is part of the tasting menu is quite small but very rich. My dining partner opted for the panna cotta instead, which I think was stronger dessert. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here due to the quality and execution of the dishes and beautiful ambiance.“
