“I went to Cloud Sushi a couple of days ago with my family. They have a cute outdoor setup, and since it was a beautiful day, we got to sit outside on the benches.
We ordered at the window and I was very specific about needing my food to be gluten free. Unfortunately, I noticed immediately my food contained gluten before I ate it and alerted staff. However, the chef came out and rectified the issue quickly, which I really appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit!

The rolls i ordered were fine, and my partner and dad got the chef’s choice boxes, which they enjoyed. The prices were reasonable, and overall I appreciated the friendly service and the effort to fix the gluten-free issue.“

“We did the four course tasting menu and every course was excellently prepared and exquisitely presented. There are choices for each course so each of us ordered different items so that we could taste everything on the menu. Such interesting items like fir needle ice cream. This is now out favorite restaurant in Truckee and look forward to visiting on future trips to the area. We had high expectations and Trokay exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Trokay!“

“I was so impressed by the service at Dopo Pizza & Pasta. We made a reservation for our anniversary on the Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. The restaurant was packed and they were running behind. Our table was delayed by 20 mins. That certainly could have tanked our evening but the manager and wait staff went above-and-beyond to make it up to us, offering wine and an appetizer on the house while we waited and continually checking in with us. Some problems can’t be avoided in a restaurant, but the way you handle them and take care of your guests are within the establishment’s control and the management of Dopo exemplified the “right” way to handle these things. Oh, and the food was great, too! Highly recommend the burrata app.“

“Stopped in Truckee to see the Donner Museum on our way farther west and had breakfast here. Amazing food and more than reasonable prices (we got the early bird special, half off breakfast - under $40 for three large meals and coffee).

The sourdough toast with homemade blackberry jam was AMAZING. Only regret is they don't sell it by the jar.“

“I was searching for food that was not crowded, admittedly I was overwhelmed by the weekenders that flock from all over cities that were crammed in the shopping district. I spotted a church building with a small sign that said, cafe open, as I was making my way out of town with haste. Alas, I found exactly what I needed. Score, big time. It is a beautiful, tranquil space, and the sandwich I had, Ban mi (add turkey)...beyond exquisite. The lavender drink concoction was eloquent and refreshing. Go here for a zen delicious af meal and very nice service.“

“The food is good and we like stopping here for a quick bite. It can get very busy and loud and we’ve always had to wait a good while for the food. The calzones are the best and sitting out can be a lot nicer than indoors when the weather is right.“

“Gourmet pizza! We love coming here whenever we are in town. Family owned business and the owner is a wonderful person. We had the pleasure to meet him 3 winters ago. I am so glad how this place gets more and more popular!!

Taste and ingredients are great. The temperature control on the pizza is on point. Price on root beer is so good! Can’t beat that.
One thing to note, it does take long time to get the pizza, if you are in a rush, you can either call ahead to order or try this place when you have time to enjoy. It took us about 45mins to get our pizza a few weeks ago.

They have indoor and outdoor seating! How relaxing.“

“One of our favorite places in Truckee, both summer and winter. Very comfortable inside and outside, and always a nice atmosphere. They also have a really impressive wine selection, including some bottles that are not easy to find.

And definitely save room for the cookie skillet with ice cream! We get it almost every time and it’s worth it :)

“Very friendly here, and they do not rush you. Caution: if you mention “spicy” it will be precisely THAT. There is mild or very spicy, no in between. The food is terrific and not over priced even considering the area. Recommend the cheese naan over the garlic. Great place!“

“We had a wonderful meal at Petra/Northstar...I had the chicken and it was delicious. My husband had the steak frites and loved it...cooked perfectly. The mediterranean salad was fabulous...enough for the 4 of us! The cabernet was yummy but I then tried the Pinot Noir and it was AMAZING. Kelsey was very friendly and we enjoyed meeting her.“
