“Exceptional! We made reservations for my boyfriend’s birthday. We got the price fixe menu and the wine pairings. Every single dish was fantastic and we learned a ton about the wine we were tasting.Wine pairing = 2.5-3 glasses of wine matched with the courses you choose. I wish there would have been more California wines on the menu (I’m biased!) but the wine did not disappoint.Price fixe menu = four choices with two special treats from the chef. Exceptional flavors and presentation.There were at least five different wait staff we interacted with, and the host, all lovely and helpful.Total cost of the meal including tip and tax came to $635.00 for the two of us. We spent about 2.5 hours dining at Trokay and most of the next day talking about it. Highly recommend for a special occasion.“

“I was searching for food that was not crowded, admittedly I was overwhelmed by the weekenders that flock from all over cities that were crammed in the shopping district. I spotted a church building with a small sign that said, cafe open, as I was making my way out of town with haste. Alas, I found exactly what I needed. Score, big time. It is a beautiful, tranquil space, and the sandwich I had, Ban mi (add turkey)...beyond exquisite. The lavender drink concoction was eloquent and refreshing. Go here for a zen delicious af meal and very nice service.“

They were a big hit and we had leftovers to boot for 26 party goers. Austin, the owner was super helpful. We have a place in Truckee so they'll be our go-to restaurant for apres skiing parties for sure.“

“The Sawyer is a lively and fun place to dine. Service is excellent. We had the beef stroganoff, portobello mushroom on brioche bun, cheesy loaf were all made to perfection. Yum! Special shout out to the cheesy loaf— we would go back just for that. It is that good! While the room was full of energy, the entire experience was relaxing and we got to enjoy our meal and have nice conversation. Our server did a great job! And we were never rushed. We had a wonderful night. We will be back!“

“Enjoyed a delicious dinner here with my boyfriend! The service was fantastic, the wine and food were delicious and we hope to return! I had tomato soup and grilled cheese, we both enjoyed wine tasting flights and my bf had a wagyu burger! All very delicious! Many vegetarian options as well :)

“My boyfriend said that previously there was a different Indian restaurant in the same location that wasn't good. This is a different restaurant. The food was great. We had samosas, aloo gobi, & eggplant. The samosas were light and flakey, the eggplant had a lovely, smoked flavor, and the aloo gobi was nicely spiced. Our waiter was totally on top of it and friendly. The ambience leaves a lot to be desired. It seems like the site of a former fast food restaurant that hasn't had a makeover. Cold, stark, and too brightly lit. Although it is very clean.“

“Got there about 20 minutes before closing as we were visiting the area and accidentally got distracted by local attractions. Despite coming in so late they were courteous, quick and fed us excellent food that was incredibly fresh and delicious. They didn't rush us or make us feel guilty and we were done by closing. Some of the best Thai food I have eaten and if I was local this would be a frequent repeat.
