Good food ain't fast food, so if you come in/call in during a really busy time, please note there could be a little more of a wait than normal. (They also get a lot of phone orders). Sometimes there might be also circumstances out of their control. And we are all human after all...

Established for 54 years, Mandarin Garden Chinese Restaurant offers a variety of dishes like Peking ribs, salt & pepper ribs, orange chicken, and more. The food is described as delicious, with highlights including the tempura salt & pepper ribs, broccoli beef, walnut shrimp, and mushrooms. Recent reviews praise the shrimp Chow Fun, eggplant in sweet and sour sauce, and spicy chicken wings, which are crisp and flavorful. The bok choi, broccoli, and other veggies are noted as fresh and not greasy. While the decor may not be impressive, the kind service stands out, with friendly staff providing wonderful hospitality. Customers have enjoyed lovely birthday family dinners with great food and great service. The menu includes options like Mongolian Beef, Beef with String Beans, and Mooshoo Beef, with portions generous enough to serve six or seven people. The restaurant offers steamed rice separately and refreshing beverages made with pure Tahoe water. Despite some mixed reviews, the friendly staff and decently hot, non-oily food make it a highly recommended spot, thanks to chef David and the professional service from staff. Many customers express their intention to return, highlighting the excellent dining experience provided.
