“We ordered 1/2 chicken plate, pork plate, and beef burrito. The chicken was delicious, the chicken breast was flavory and very juicy! At first we thought the chicken was undercooked cause the meat was a bit pink, but the staff told us it is normal for smoked meat.The pork was not bad, soft and fully flavored. The chili on the side has a sweet and sour flavor i liked it a lot! Unfortunately, the burrito was not as ”hearty“ as it was written on the menu, overall it‘s okay.It is a bit cold in the store, and we were the only customer when we got there around 5pm. Would come back again if revisit south lake tahoe.“
“1/26 4-1/2 STARS! We stumbled upon Rojo's Tavern by chance after our original dinner plans fell through. A local Indian restaurant had an unexpectedly long wait for our large party, but Yelp guided us to a pizzeria which also struggled to sit a big group unfortunately. We decided to check out Rojo's next door, and super glad we did! We were seated in 15-minutes and on a cozy table that accommodated us all. The place may have an old-style motif, but don't let that deceive you. Rojo's Tavern is a hidden gem with fantastic customer service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The French onion soup, ribs, pasta, appetizers, and salads were all exceptional - a true culinary delight. The history of this family-owned restaurant adds to its charm, and the dedicated team, including our server and chef with over 20+ years of experience, reflects their commitment to excellence. We'll definitely be back for more memorable dining experiences. If you're seeking great food without being overly concerned about ambiance, Rojo's is highly recommended! “Small eatery, but decent food and service with a casual vibe in Heavenly Village. With 4 adults and a toddler, there was something for everyone. We ordered the: lemon garlic salmon, chicken sandwich, chicken wings with sauce on the side, clam chowder, mac n cheese, and nachos.“
“Pretty good food for a ski resort. They will get you on pricing, as expected, but you can save a little if you have the Epic Pass. There's also the Bar 9150 here where you can get alcohol. They do have different specials, as indicated by the Pulled Pork sandwich, so check before you go if you're looking for something specific. I got the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and my wife for the chili. Both were served hot out of the kitchen and hit the spot after some runs. Also couldn't help myself and grabbed a cookie for $3, which they say is baked fresh daily and was still warm and very tasty.“

“One of our birthday guy requested for BBQ while our ski trip in Lake Tahoe so we found out this place with good reviews on Yelp and would love to try it. This place not too far from South Lake Tahoe and not even 10 mis drive from Stateline. Step in around 7:30 pm and so crowded inside. Check-in with host and she said the wait time is about 45 mins for the party of 6 adults and 2 kids. Looks inside still have a few tables that available and also a few more unclean tables. Decided to wait because light snow is falling outside. Just about next 20 mins got the high table and we're so happy with that. Foods were great, ribs were amazing and moreover that is our server. He is so nice and attentive. Reasonable price and worth the wait. Definitely be back!!“
