“We’ve eaten at Rail City’s Ale House restaurant twice in the last month or so. We had different servers each time, but they were both very nice.
The food was also very good! I had the chicken pesto pasta both times because I loved it! It comes with garlic bread & I also got a house salad. It was a delicious dinner, and I had leftovers for 2-3 more meals.“

“This is such a wonderful find and definitely one of my favorite new dive bars when in Reno. We heard about the shrimp scampi dinner they serve on Friday nights before ever stopping in, then again our first couple times coming by for a drink. A couple weekends ago we called to see about the dinner sometime early Friday evening, but learned they had already sold out and stopped serving. So while in town this weekend, we stopped by early evening (around 5) for the famous dinner and sat at the bar sipping drinks while we watched the seafood and pasta being prepared. It was less than $20 for a large plate of pasta with tons of shrimp and garlic bread on the side. Between that and the shrimp cocktail appetizer that the two of us shared, we left full and very satisfied.
Great staff, lively atmosphere, good prices, and a ton of fun things to look at while sitting at the bar. They have a pool table, and there's a barber shop attached (but we haven't been there when they've been open), and not sure if theyre related or just sharing a space. I highly recommend checking out this bar if youre in the mood for a drink, and if you're lucky enough to stop by on a Friday night, you're in for a treat with the dinner. Bring some gum for after dinner - lots of wonderful chunks of potent garlic in the scampi! :)“

“Just passing through had to stop here at night we made it in. the nick of time thay close at 700pm sooo we made with in 30 minutes as soon as u pull up you can smell the decioules bbq the roam going through your car it smell sooo good Weave been here before a couple years ago I'm telling you man if you want good bbq and your here in Reno stop in you won't be disappointed in the food it's great good serves and homemade desert from some of the locals in this town the potato salad was spot on I could hardly taste the eggs I don't like eggs lol 😀 MY husband had the beans awsom Thank u again for azaming meal hope to see u soon through my travels“

“This place is a great value for the buck. Burgers are HUGE and are substance and flavor too! The Tri Tip sandwich is huge and the best bbq style around here. Service was inviting and helpful and the atmosphere is open to the outdoors in front. Very relaxing. To give an example of the value... we are both very large guys and a fill up at a normal fast food place for us is about $20 a person. We did about the same here and got MORE and LOVED it! Plus, you can buy meat and fries BY THE POUND and save big time! We loved the fact that we could sit outside and wait with the dog since he comes with us everywhere on our days off. The wood smoke taste is killer and the sauces do not all taste the same! Great place.“

“Went today with my family for the first time and it was a great experience! The owner and staff are so sweet and made us feel like family. The food is delicious, portions are big. We got a Musubi, the bbq beef, kalua pork and chicken katsu. We also had the carnitas and chicken quesadillas that were loaded with meat and cheese. The salsas were the perfect amount of spice and super flavorful. We will definitely be back!“
