Cozy spot to hang inside or outside, but the food is just OK and all the beers we tried had an oxidized metallic taste.

We stayed in an indie king room with the bunk beds. The location can't be beat and the food (breakfast, beer garden) is quite good compared to other offerings in the area and convenient. The restaurants our particular weekend all filled up early. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and s'mores firepit. There was a wedding one night, but the hotel shut it down right at 10pm so it was quiet, and we were on the side directly above the beer garden. Biggest downsides is the walls are thin (the lady next door fell asleep with the tv on) and the heater is very loud / or not that strong. But we were there in fall so maybe it's stronger in the winter.

They kicked us out for cheering too loud at a 49ers and cowboys game. They only kicked us out because other peoples feelings are hurt because we are cheering. Would not recommend coming here for watching games or trying to support your own team outright. Unless you want to get kicked out for supporting your own team. Exp. Includes clapping, yelling, any sort of cheering for your team. They called security guards on us saying we flipped off the bartenders or other customers. The owner reading this can look between 4:30pm to 7:15pm 10/6 (we didn’t flip off any one off tell we got asked to leave over false accusations) or cause a problems. We know all your business has cameras. We didn’t cause any disrespect to any bartender or costumer and got asked to leave over clapping at the 49ers. I can say the bartender P was amazing gave us chargers and everything we needed he was 10/10 service. (P is the only good bartender there and one younger guy that’s there earlier in the day) Prices are high, would recommend coming to mcps tap house and brew way better environment and everything. Bartenders are amazing

While I typically never leave reviews, my recent experience compelled me to do so. I accidentally booked Basecamp in Tahoe City, instead of my intended destination in South Lake Tahoe. While this was an honest mistake, the outstanding customer service and overall experience truly stood out. Stephanie, in particular, was great! She not only empathized with the mistake but assured me that such errors are commonplace. I provided her with my confirmation number, and she graciously offered to contact Basecamp Tahoe City to facilitate the transfer of my reservation to the correct location. This made my experience all the more seamless. The room was nice, but the outside amenities exceeded our expectations. Live music and an on-site brewery connected to the hotel made for an unforgettable experience. A sincere thank you to Stephanie and the entire Basecamp team for providing us with a memorable stay.

The question I always ask myself is what I stay here again, and this time the answer is no. The room simply didn’t have heat. We moved all the buttons but we could never get it to kicked on, so it was definitely too cold for comfort not a lot of amenities but certainly the bed was fine. The shower was fine and they did have a coffee pot with one pack of coffeelocation is very good easy walking to all the activity on state line

A nice quiet place one block from the main street and a couple blocks from the beach. A nice outdoor lounging place with firepits, games, food and drinks and sometimes there is live music. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maddie was at the front desk when I needed help and she was kind, efficient, and definitive!

Love the vibe, esp live music on a Th night. Beer selection is on point as well as the food they offer. Outdoor arrangement provides space for kiddos and very dog-friendly!

The hotel was a great place for a fun time with friends. They offer lots of activities! They have a hot tub and campfires, beer garden and live music! Great place to stay at. Hotel rooms are super clean & have an outdoor seating

The hotels is close to the "action", yet far enough away that the hustle and bustle of activity doesn't intrude upon one's serenity. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Stephanie, in particular, was great. Absolutely recommend.

Loved rhe dog friendly hotel with a camp feel. Staff was friendly and it was close to the beach. It was also a plus there's South of North brewery and a coffee shop on site. Will definitely be back..

Basecamp is a whole vibe. From the decor to the beer garden, I’m obsessed. Lettie was awesome and went above & beyond for us. Check in was quick and easy with great directions. Hanging out in the beer garden was lots of fun. They had live music every night & the fire pits going. We met a lot of new people & I will definitely stay here again! Make sure you rent the scooters and ride the bike path. (It starts on main road near holiday inn express). AND DO NOT SKIP LAKE TAHOE NORTH. The bike path was gorgeous and there’s multiple places to swim and explore! We rented the E BIKES and road the path. Seriously the most gorgeous views! Don’t skip it! Basecamp is in a great location. Just a few minute walk to a public beach. In the other direction it’s located a couple blocks from the main strip with all the restaurants and tourist things. The beach is very nice right by Basecamp but my favorite beach spot was at Tahoe north. Hidden beach and sunset cove looks like the Caribbean!!! It’s about 30 min from Basecamp and worth the drive.

My husband and I really loved our experience staying at Basecamp. It has the same feel as a place we loved in Bend, OR -- a motel that feels like a cozy, rustic camping experience except you have a clean room to go to with a comfy bed! They have a welcoming lobby with a place to get coffee and a quick breakfast, a couple hot tubs, and a great brewery with live music! It's located directly across from the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys. This worked out perfectly for us as we had concert tickets and only had to walk across the street to get back to our room afterward. And we were lucky - it was a hot weekend and they were in the process of adding A/C to some of the rooms -we had it in ours! The person checking us in was kind and helpful. We had fewer towels than expected so they made sure to get some for us right away. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Suzi in the office is super sweet & accommodating! Basecamp is the coolest spot I’ve ever stayed in south lake. You get passes for the private lake entrance at lakeshore. It’s incredible clean, staff is friendly, they have a big hot tub, a coffee shop with all the chill vibes, and a bar/restaurant with cornhole, ping pong, live band(not too loud), dogs welcome at the brewery and the hotel, it’s truly a fantastic stay and so so so peaceful.

Swarms of gnats everywhere and no fans or air circulation indoors. Beer was not special. Street parking only.

Neil was the person who checked us in and he was amazing. He had so many tips for things to do in the area, where to eat, what beaches to visit, etc. He was very kind and hospitable. 10/10 customer service.
