Amazing food and amazing people working here. I had the pulled pork po boy and it was so good some of the best pulled pork i have had, So juicy! Also the fry's were some of the best ever too! I will be back.

We ordered 1/2 chicken plate, pork plate, and beef burrito. The chicken was delicious, the chicken breast was flavory and very juicy! At first we thought the chicken was undercooked cause the meat was a bit pink, but the staff told us it is normal for smoked meat.The pork was not bad, soft and fully flavored. The chili on the side has a sweet and sour flavor i liked it a lot! Unfortunately, the burrito was not as ”hearty“ as it was written on the menu, overall it‘s okay.It is a bit cold in the store, and we were the only customer when we got there around 5pm. Would come back again if revisit south lake tahoe.

You don’t come here for the atmosphere! It is quite quirky and cold despite two small heaters near the few inside tables. Not sure about the Hawaiian and surfing decor esp in the snowy winter outside! But, the food esp the ribs are the best, and the serving sizes huge!! It’s best for takeaway. A few parks are just outside the venue. Definitely rated for the ribs and came recommended by one of the resident shop owners in the Village Square.

Was looking forward to this mainland location but pretty disappointed. Drove in and half the parking was in a puddle. The place looked small kine deserted. Walked in and the place looked run down. Waited a bit and a guy took my order. Didn’t really look like he wanted to be there, did the bare minimum with no aloha like the Kauai location.Took a whole chicken for takeout. Chicken had a good smoke flavor, but was overcooked. The meat just crumbled like a dry cracker. We had to break it down and baptize it with mayo to make some chicken salad to make use of it. Probably won’t be back and stick to the OG location whenever we go back Kauai.

On Thursday January 18, 2024My husband ordered a to go order chicken and sides dishes orders the rice was plain, the chicken was bloody inside couldn’t eat it and the only thing that was half decent was the chili beans, but was cold! The macaroni salad had too much onions!
I do not have much BBQ experience, but that was just some of the best food I’ve had in a long timeZ The chicken and ribs tasted incredible and the fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. The prices seemed high to me at first but once I got my food I knew it was well worth it.
