Flour Girl Wedding Cakes

What an amazing cake we had for our wedding. It was gluten free yet still so so so tasty, and it held together wonderfully. Most of all- it was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't have been happier! Flour Girl Wedding Cakes nailed it, even when we asked for something a bit different than the norm and had a whole fiasco with the dragon cake topper. Thank you, it was beautiful and we loved it so much!

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were delightful! There was also a gluten free cake tasting before the wedding; even our friends who can eat gluten were in love with the GF cakes!

We had the most delicious cake at our wedding from Flour Girl! We had three different flavors and everyone raved about each one of them. Sarah was so wonderful and easy to work with. She was so kind, professional, responsive, and helped guide us with recommendations. Flour Girl was familiar with our venue and worked so easily with our planner. Our cake was gorgeous with the flower placement, cake topper, and our little kitty figurine. We couldn’t have asked for a better cake for our special day and highly recommend Flour Girl!

We used Flour Girl for a 150 person wedding at zephyr lodge Northstar. They arrived early to set a beautiful dessert table featuring a super fresh and delicious two layer wedding cake and table of lemon bars, Tahoe cookies and other items.

The desserts were so good and received tons of praise from our guests.

They are super accommodating, value the opportunity and I highly recommend them.

We booked Flour Girl Wedding Cakes in October 2022 for our January 2024 Tahoe wedding! The most important thing to my husband was that our wedding cake actually taste GOOD- and Flour Girl waaaay more than exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and a culinary masterpiece, and we had so much fun doing a wedding cake tasting and choosing all of our favorite flavors! We ended up doing a different combination of cake and icing and filling for each of our three tiers, then had several smaller half/quarter sheet cakes available to serve to wedding guests to make sure we had enough food for everyone. The cake was incredible, and whatever didn't get consumed by guests the night of our wedding was immediately finished at our morning after brunch the next day! They were so great to work with, delivered our cakes on time the morning of our wedding all the way to Tahoe City on a snowy winter weekend, and created a masterpiece of a wedding cake that was exactly what I had imagined. Thank you Flour Girl!!

She took the time to answer all of our questions, gave stellar advice, and was so nice! We had lots of compliments on EVERYTHING - from the presentation to the variety and taste. THANK YOU again for adding such a sweet touch to our day!

We recently had Sarah create the wedding cake and desserts for my daughters wedding. We booked our date about a year out. The dessert tasting with Sarah’s mom was so much fun. So many choices and helpful with ideas. Sarah was easy to work with and communication was great. And on the day of the wedding .. fabulous and delicious.. the cake was beautiful.

Flour Girl was so easy to work with for our wedding at the West Shore Cafe. Sarah is great at communicating and we could not have been happier with our experience. Our cake was delicious and beautiful- it was exactly what we dreamed of. We went with bite size desserts for our wedding guests which were displayed on rustic/modern trays that we rented from Flour Girl. Renting the displays was so easy and our guests raved about the desserts. Thank you so much to Sarah and her team at Flour Girl!

Sarah made us golf themed cupcakes for the rehearsal dinner and a three tiered cake for the wedding that was so good we barely got any! Beware if you are taking pictures when the cake is served you may miss out. However, we know that cake was so good, we ordered it again for our anniversary and loved every bite!

We are so glad we chose Flour Girl on our wedding day - our cake and desserts were beautiful and delicious! The service was professional and we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of!

We hired Flour Girl in October of 2019 for what was then going to be our Summer 2020 wedding. Sarah was so gracious and easy to work with, even with all the shifts thanks to COVID. We finally had our re-scheduled wedding this past June and we were so happy we hired Flour Girl! We did a small shared cake and a dessert bar and it was was exactly what we wanted! The cake had so much personality and was absolutely delicious (the earl grey and caramel flavor is highly recommended). The dessert bar was also a huge hit with all our guests and turned out perfectly! The setup was beautiful and the desserts were so good, we got to take home less than we thought thanks to the popularity with our guests!

Flour Girl did a marvelous job creating the cake we envisioned. The cake was so beautiful we hated to cut it, but once we did we all said it was the best cake any of us had ever eaten. Thank you Flour Girl!

Sarah’s cakes tasted good when we sampled them for our wedding, but they are definitely pricey. We booked anyway because she was closest to our venue. Our date was scheduled for May 2nd, 2 days after the legal shutdown is ‘supposed’ to end - so we were forced to cancel our wedding well before that as we didn’t know what May would look like. The contract we signed said our deposit was non-refundable and you can bet she stuck to that. She did offer to roll our deposit into a different date but we can’t reschedule the wedding with everything going on, who knows how long this will all last. Not to mention a wedding in Tahoe is pricey and we chose the off season for a reason. So now we are forced to order a cake we don’t need in the amount of our deposit or walk away and just hand her our money for no services. If I were you, I would order a cake in Reno or Gardnerville, even with the delivery fee, it would still be more affordable than flour girl. And perhaps you would be supporting a business who made the right decision for those who were so close to the shutdown date instead of holding a contract over your head.
