Hostess turned away several parties with people of color, and gave my party a long wait time. While we waited we saw other parties of same sizes of white families get sat right away.Stay away, eat somewhere else that treats everyone with respect.Shocked, astonished, embarrassed and disgusted.

Good place to grab a few beers after hitting the slopes. Right by the gondola. Outdoor seating with fire as well to keep warm. Menu seem to be a bit limited, good beer selection.

What a great place to visit, fantastic food, the potato skins are awesome, mac and cheese was right up there with the best I've had.
Chicken piccata tasted just like alfredo with a few scattered capers. "Beef nachos" had very dry tri tip that was cut the wrong way (with the grain) which made it very tough. There is apparently a 15% to-go gratuity on top of a 50 cent to-go fee. Finally, they got our order wrong.

We were sat right away, but they had run out of menus so we proceeded to wait 15 minutes for our server to get us some. We placed our order. Server never brought us our drink order, had to ask the food runner when our apps where brought out. I'd understand if it were complicated mixed drinks but 20 min for a bottle of beer?? Come on. Food took awhile, but I don't mind waiting for good food. Unfortunately this wasn't it. Meatloaf was meh, carrots were raw, and the mashed potatoes were ice cold. Burger was decent but the chips were inedible. Never saw our server once between placing our order and getting the check. Saw the food runner and busser way more because they were actually working and hustling. They're also the only reason I'm giving the service 2 stars instead of one. Save your time/money and go somewhere else instead like the pizza joint right across the way.

Great small restaurant with quality service. Had the meatloaf which made me feel at home while on a ski trip from the east coast. Waiter was very good and hostess always smiled. Ambiance was a little rustic but felt comfortable

Ordered take out. Got home order was wrong. Called, explained was told come back & we’ll replace. Not will refund mistake & replace. So, too bad so sad for inconvenience . Food was decent not worth the price or inconvenience. Go somewhere

I would not give 1 star for service..waited over 1 hour just to move around table and get the waiters attention and that too requesting several times about hungry kids in the group. We left eventually without ordering.
We visit this restaurant for lunch. One person told you can sit anywhere. And with kids we waited for around hr they not take the orders. I don't know how much we have to wait more. Very very low graded service. Even I would say no service. Please try not to visit this restaurant, if you can.

This is the first and last time I'll patron Gunbarrel Tavern. I'm local to North Tahoe and often drive to SLT for dinner. Being New Years, my normal go to's had a 2+ hour wait. We walked around round Gunbarrel had a 50 minute wait. We were paged to let us know our table was as ready at 6:05. We sat down shortly after. It was a busy night and pretty loud. The ambiance otherwise was good. Fun things on the wall. The kids ordered Mac and Cheese which came out fairly quick. They were still hungry so we ordered another plate. My sisters plate came out next, about 50 minutes after we sat. Her order was Shrimp and Grits. It came out with NO grits! My brothers burger came out about 15 minutes after that - thankfully that was good. I checked 3 times for the burger I ordered. They kept assuring me it's coming. After everyone was done with their meals, I cancelled my order. The waiter just said he would cancel it and bring out the check. I went over to the hostess stand where the manager. I let him know of our experience and all he gad to offer was, "We have new people in the kitchen. There's nothing I can do right now." That was all he had to say. No apology or any option to improve the experience. There are a lot of options in SLT. I will NOT be coming back here.

Small eatery, but decent food and service with a casual vibe in Heavenly Village. With 4 adults and a toddler, there was something for everyone. We ordered the: lemon garlic salmon, chicken sandwich, chicken wings with sauce on the side, clam chowder, mac n cheese, and nachos.

Service was good, but staff was overextended as is the case with many restaurants these days with labor shortages. Food was mediocre. Probably a more focused menu would help them zero in on the cuisines they do best. Veggie bowl was too saucy. Nachos were confusing and not as described. Kids were happy with the butter pasta.

I had a really pleasant time here and it's mostly because of Dan. I was going back and forth between 4 and 5 starts but Dan made it a 5 star experience. He greeted us and asked if we had any questions and he constantly asked how we were doing even though it got a bit busy. I didn't feel rushed when ordering or asking questions. I had a few odd requests but Dan just smiled and helped me out. We were seated right away (around 5) and decided to sit outside near a heater. It was next to the outdoor bar so it was a busy with people and little loud (also because there was a DJ across the way) but it was a nice vibe listening to the music and people watching. We ordered two burgers, the bison and gunbarrel I believe, and some Mac and cheese, which were all pretty good. The drinks were also well made. I would recommend this establishment to others, especially if Dan is taking the order!
