This place is a HIDDEN GEM!

My Family and I have been going to Tahoe for all of our lives and somehow we have missed this A+ Chinese Restaurant.

We were in the mood to try something new, and we decided on Chinese food. After we did a search on google, Hunan Garden caught our eye. With a wide range of food from hearty soups to flavorful dishes of rice, orange chicken, chow mein, shrimp (tons of different variations) and the list goes on!

The service was absolutely amazing! We never had to ask for drink refills, our waiter was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything.

From the time we placed our order to receiving the food was fast. When it comes to portion sizes Hunan Garden doesn’t hold back. We order a variety of things to try out. We are a family of 5 but when the food came, it look like they were serving an army ?. The food tastes as good as it looks. Everything was cooked to perfection!

You can tell the workers have a lot of pride in what they do. Waiters giving A+ service, the cooks making amazing dishes, and to the busser making sure the restaurant is spotless and it was!

Got takeout, ready in 15 min! Nice. Dont judge, we ordered schezwan chicken, broccoli beef, mushroom beef, walnut prawns, spring rolls, and won ton soup. Everything was delicious, veggies cooked perfectly, still crisp. The fried food was crunchy, but not greasy. And the walnut prawns! All components separated, the sauce, the broccoli, the prawns. Game changer, nothing was soggy, and you added as little or a lot of sauce, as you like. If this dish is your jam but soggy takeout ruined it, try this one.

It was fire. Waiter was very helpful, great portions, and tasty!

Good food. One star removed because they didn't put a plastic fork or napkins in the takeout bag. Annoying oversight because I was staying at a hotel and didn't have a fork or napkins so then had to go get some.

This place is awesome. We ordered Walnut Shrimp, Vegetable Deluxe, Hongkong Style Noodle, and Sizzling Beef. Service was fast. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We were very satisfied with the restaurant who didn't even impose any mandatory service charge over 6 people, but we gave more than 20% because the awesome food and quick service.

We order the dinner for 3 people, we got cashew chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried rice, snow beef and soup as well as eggs rolls and cream cheese wontons. Everything was delicious. My son especially liked the soup. The service was really good, very nice people. Very clean restaurant.

We came here for dinner and the food was great. You can tell everything was freshly prepared. The fried rice was really good and had a great variety of meat and the eggplant dish was amazing.
