A great choice in South Lake Tahoe. We enjoyed various seafood appetizers and entrees which were all clearly fresh and cooked perfectly in great presentations.

Everything we ordered was done to perfection. The ambiance was understated and the service was very timely. We ate at 5:30 & it was quiet, by 7:00-7:15 it was packed & thats a Tuesday night. Go, don't hesitate.

We have been to Kalanis before and it never disappoints. The food was delicious. Our server Misty and the busperson were very attentive but not hovering.Misty was very knowledgeable about the menu and told us about the winners for Tahoes best.5 Stars all around.

Our server, Misty, was so sweet & accommodating. She understood our spice limitations, and made great recommendations. The drinks were delicious. The sushi rolls were a little small for the price, but the flavor was amazing.

From the start of our drive from Reno to Heavenly Village, our palates were already dancing! The drive was an enjoyable 60 minute ride taking us up into the mountains before descending to our lunch destination. With super easy parking right across the street, we easily found our way to Kalani's because of their signature signage with Hawaiian flair. We had to restrain ourselves to ordering just two appetizers and two Home Grown lunch entrees at a commitment to our waistlines. For our appetizers we ordered the Crispy Roasted Pork Belly and it was incredible. It was juicy and succulent. It came with a yummy pesto sauce, but we reverted back to our favorite condiment...Shoyu! We also ordered the Island Wings, because just the mention of them being tossed in Sambal Chili Glaze made our local mouths water. What can we say....SO GOOD!!!! For our Entrees it was difficult to choose between the Kings Hawaiian French Toast, Kalua Pork Benedict, Hawaiian Breakfast Burrito and Kalani's Omelette and a half dozen more. We finally settled on the tried and true local favorite, the Loco Moco. The plate came with the perfect “over medium” runny egg which blended into the signature rice and gravy. Our final selection was the Kalbi Short Ribs Plate with Rice and Mac Salad. OMG!!! Marinated with a slightly sweet & mildly spicy zing then grilled to perfection. We were planning to just “nibble” on all four dishes and take the rest back to our hotel room, but somehow found the space in our opu's to eat Every Last Bite! We appreciated the detailed care we were given by our amazing server Kym, and a tableside visit from Kalani's head chef, Oscar. You can be sure this will be factored into our agenda with every Reno trip ahead. Mahalo for giving us a much needed Taste of Home!

We always try to dine at Kalani's when we are in Tahoe. Our latest meal (Sunday 8/24) was excellent. My husband had the filet & raved about the tenderness & flavor of the filet, and green beans. I had the wild halibut which was prepared to perfection, the sear gave the halibut a nice crust and the generous cut of halibut was moist & flavorful. The risotto& asparagus were simple and did not over power the halibut. A couple of nice glasses of wine and a chocolate lava cake made a perfect meal. Service was attentive & pleasant.

The food was delicious. Best Kalua pork Benedict I've had. The cocktails were beautiful. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Would recommend this little slice of Hawaii to my friends!

We absolutely enjoyed our dining experience; celebrated 25th wedding anniversary. Shout-up to Curtis's genuine easy going personality. We'll definitely be back!

Great service. Great food. We sat outside and it was like a hallway. Thumbs down on that. Exterior in need of a good cleaning. Cobwebs on the dirty Windows and window sills. Cobwebs in the lights. Big turn off. Go a high end restaurant it should be clean and private while dining.

I have to say it was pretty disappointing after reading the reviews and getting input from the staff at the hotel. The fish in my husband's seafood special was dry and overcooked and tasteless and my shrimp scampi pasta on the other hand, the shrimp could've been cooked a bit more

Home Run this time at Kalani's! Mixed Seafood Grill and Sea Bass - cooked to perfection. Service was spot on - our waitress has been there (think we had her in a previous year) for several years. Only item to be aware of was the Ahi Poke (not the Poke Nachos). Good amount of “heat” in this - so suggest you ask before ordering.

We went on a Sunday morning for brunch. The food was delicious. Our server was brand new but still did a great job meeting our needs. Overall great experience and would return.

For our first time at Kalani's, we were pleasantly surprised on the quality of the food and service for a restaurant in the middle of South Lake Tahoe. The location is wedged in between two Marriott properties. Very busy area. You can miss the restaurant entrance with the crowdedness. The entree price was very fair. We both had the halibut which was a good sized portion with risotto and asparagus - all delicious.. Service was attentive but not overbearing. We'll be back before we leave!
