SO good! We got a chicken tortilla, chili and a poblano pepper soup, did not disappoint!! Grilled cheese was great as well. Definitely recommend, and will be going back in the future.

It's hard to find the place and only one sour dough bread bowl available on Wednesday due to they were sold out on last Sunday.

Such a friendly couple, with absolutely fresh, homemade delicious soup. I could eat here every day! I had the garden vegetable my boyfriend had the loaded baked potato. Both were like a warm hug. I 100% recommend this place.

This place is amazing. We had the lobster bisque, broccoli/cheddar, and chicken noodle soup. All ingredients were fresh and crisp (e.g. veggies, sour dough bread). Flavors were spot on. Super friendly folks as well. Keep in mind this is the same storefront as the Glazed and Confuzed donut shop, which is also excellent. Highly recommended.

The cream of chicken and wild rice is delicious! So good - like better than your grandma's good. Friendly service and a punch card to use for future visits. Either lobster bisque or loaded baked potato will be my next try. Thank you Ladles! I'll be back

Everyone in our party got soup flights and all the soups had so much flavor. Adding a grilled cheese was a bonus! The cashier/ server was friendly and the service was fast! It was a treat to have some good soup on a cold day.

Ladles and Glazed and Confused are essentially two businesses run by one couple and share the same space. We went for the soup flight and bread bowls. I tried the Split Pea, Tomato Basil, Poblano Pepper, and Italian Wedding. All the soups impressed me. He tried the clam chowder with bread bowl. Also, very tasty. They use Truckee Sourdough Co. And I'm a fan of using local resources l. The restaurateurs were friendly, patient and provided excellent service. The atmosphere is funky and warm. They are open all year long.

I really wanted to like this place because the decor is fun and workers were very nice. But the food was pretty mediocre imo. The soup tasted like what you could get at Safeway and the bread was stale. Its also really pricey considering what you're getting. We live in SF so we're used to high prices, so when we feel something is too expensive, thats not a good sign. I know running a restaurant is hard (I used to work in that industry), but food is a craft. If food is good, people will keep coming.
