Maggie's is truly a hidden gem jn South Lake Tahoe! It is our favorite place to eat every time we are in town! Great cocktails and can never go wrong with any choice on the menu! 10/10 recommend!

What wonderful tucked away gem! The meal was outstanding. Everything was cooked perfectly as ordered. I recommend the Seabass. It won't disappoint. The staff, service and view were fantastic.

Nice restaurant with good service. But very bad food. We ordered 8 dishes and barely liked one (the duck). Very expensive.

Venue was cozy, service was friendly, but the food was not good. Also, value for money, not a fair trade.

The Aguachile was completly fishy, the Ribeye was barely a steak, even worse when you get charged 65 bucks for it.

Should improve the food and the place would be amazing.

We had reservations and sat by the door for dinner… Initially the service was really good, but once they got busy, it dropped off pretty quickly. We had finished our appetizers and sat for about 20 to 30 minutes before they came back to do our order. We continuously had to flag people down for water, ordering menu items, etc. The restaurant for some reason heated up to where it felt like it was over 75° and it was very uncomfortable to be sitting and eating, and when we asked the staff if there was any way to open a window or deal with the heat, they said there were no options. Overall, the food was well presented and very good, our medium rare filets were beyond rare. The restaurant is adorable and the hotel is also equally adorable… But it’s such a small environment that you are in such tight quarters that you can’t really sit comfortably unless you’re sitting outside. We will try this again, but this experience wasn’t a five star.

While the service and atmosphere were both that of a high end restaurant, both my appetizer and main were AWFUL.. The Caesar salad was extremely gritty. Either the lettuce was dirty/sandy or it picked up grit or char from the grill. My pricey ribeye was inedible. I sent it back for more fire because they didn’t cook it charred on the exterior as I ordered. It came back with such an excessive amount of Bernaise sauce smothered over the steak that it was more like a stew. And just like the romaine in our salad, each bite had a gritty texture. Maybe it was coffee grinds from the “coffee rub”? Either way it was inedible. The fish appetizer and dessert cocktail were excellent! I so wanted to love this place. The hotel concept sounded awesome.

Mediocre food, very pricy for what it offers. Avoid the rump stake, never seen such a small and thin rump stake before. Extremely small space, no space to get in and out your table.

Our server was amazing! They totally slammed him and were severely understaffed. He was extremely kind and accommodating considering the circumstances. As a table of seven, half of our plates were nearly inedible. I ordered my steak med rare(as one does), and it was raw and cold. The lamb and duck were also undercooked, cold, and under seasoned. The chicken was dry and flavorless. For the price point being above average, I’d at least expect half-decent food- such a let down. I would choose Texas Roadhouse over anything we ordered here (unfortunately). :(

We have been to Maggie's several times and food had always been fantastic. Unfortunately this last time it was just average. Not sure what changed. Guess we will have to find another spot in South Lake Tahoe???

With reservations the wait was about 5-10 minutes. Beautiful dining area. The food was good. Wait time from order to table about 25 minutes. Sever was friendly. Coffee cup and water glasses sat empty for 15-20 minutes. Not terrible but needs a few tweaks for me to give an outstanding rating.

I highly recommend Maggie’s South Lake Tahoe. I came with a very large group (14), and the staff at Maggie’s had great attention to detail to ensure we had an excellent experience. Very attentive service and amazing food!! Not to forget, the cocktails and wine are a 10/10. Make sure you visit Maggie’s on your next trip to South Lake Tahoe.
