A very interesting array of hot dogs and loaded fries. The ones I tried were very tasty. Not very comfortable seating, so if you're staying close just order for pick up.
The service, all be it a little slow. I think it's a one man show, was great. Above and beyond... He saw a man fall from the ice at the gas station and ran over to help him up... He absolutely didn't have too, so awesome guy.
Kid-friendliness: Not really kid oriented hot dogs or seating, but the fries are great and you can get them a plain one if you ask.

For an obscure little stand on the side of the road you will discover amazing fries and a unique take on hot dogs. Their variety of meats: venison, elk, boar, etc is a fun take on the classic hot dog and fries walk up.

Atmosphere is a gas station parking lot. Beyond that, the vegan sausage was expertly grilled and the "Chicago style" toppings on point. The roll was delicious. Wish I had tried the fries-next time. It was a bit expensive for a sausage sandwich, but everything is expensive right now. We will be back next time we're in town.

I nearly cried, the food was that good. You might be thinking, "It's just a hotdog." But it is SO much more than that. I recommend the elote, but I'm partial.

Way overpriced 15.00 for a hot dog it is only in business because it is in Tahoe food serve to you by children very unprofessional
Decent location right at the bottom of Tahoe, but this place has terrible customer service, I was recently there 8/24/2024, took them a few minutes to get my order.
Once the order was complete, i was handed the buzzer for my order, waitied about 15 mins + but once the buzzer sounded i got up to pick up my order just to be told that they could not make my food due to a shortage of the meat choice.
I ended paying $17.27 and asked for a refund but only received $13.95.
This is unacceptable, and I hope that in the future the staff gets their **** together.

The hot dog truck is located in South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50 in the Shell gas station lot. The menu includes hot dogs: all beef, elk, boar, bison, and vegan; Italian sausage; hot link; and fries. The menu includes a bunch of speciality hot dog and fries options… elote dog, pastrami Rueben, Italian style, chili cheese, Chicago, and Seattle just to name a few.
I ordered the Chicago dog $10. They should rename it the mustard dog. They are heavy handed with that mustard. That was all I tasted. It was pretty much drenched in it, creating a wet sloppy mustardy mess. The beef hot dog and bun were delicious though. The hot dog had a nice snap. The bread was bakery quality; soft but sturdy.
The fries were not your ordinary fries. I really liked them. They were extra crispy. The fries had an extra layer of crispiness. Yum. A half order was $5.
