The food was incredible. Some of the best ribs and fries I’ve had in a very long time. We came to do Karaoke and found some amazing food. The Karaoke, however, is what turned us off. Being told by the KJ that we would have to pay a $5 cover charge (discounted because we had eaten dinner) was so off putting that we decided to leave. If the cover had been listed on the website or Facebook or instagram, we might have decided to go anyways, but considering we had already paid for dinner and were about to order drinks, we just decided to save our money and not gamble on a random Karaoke night at a random bar.

Ate at Rojos 30 minutes after we married 31 years ago. Visited South Lake Tahoe again 2-5 Oct 2024. Just happened to notice Rojos was still there as we drove by, so made plans to eat there that night. The service was terrific. The surf and turf superb (portions huge), and trip down memory lane was a blast. We highly recommend Rojos for great atmosphere, great food, and down to earth people.

We had a good time. The service was nice, and the atmosphere had a local feel to it. The Ribeye was excellent, and the half chicken was great. It's nothing fancy, but it was a relaxing lunch during a busy weekend. They had a tv going with a sporting event playing.

The food is very delicious, but the service of the waiter is terrible, I had to go look for him to serve me later to take the order and then to be able to pay, and there were only 3 tables occupied and they were people drinking, a waiter without charisma nor attitude for the Service.

Karaoke is fun but staff is quite sexist and will kick you out if you start singing. Been going here for some time and it’s a good time but hopefully they can adapt with the times.

Had ribs here the other day and wow. I went back and had the Rib eye and it was a bust to tough no flavor...I will be back but I would stay away from the steaks and stick to the ribs

The ribs were alright but everything else was not good, the famous Fry's were soggy and undercooked, my girlfriend ordered fish and chips and ate a bite of one of the fish said it was bad and made her feel sick afterwords. She said the bread that came with meal was the best part. The server was nice but when I asked if there was a drink menu he just said it was a full bar seems unorganized. I don't think we will be going back.
