Had the pleasure of having lunch this passed Saturday. We were a large group of 20+ car club members so I contacted them ahead of time. Kyle replied to all my questions promptly, quickly, and professionally. He alerted the staff that there would be a large group coming in and we were greeted with a friendly welcome by everyone. April took on the challenge of being our server and she did not disappoint! Our food was brought out quickly, the drinks were cold, the food was hot and the ambience of the restaurant is fabulous! Will definitely go back the next time we take a cruise up to Tahoe. Thank you Kyle and April and everyone else who was on staff Saturday - We appreciate you.

From the moment you arrive, the waiter takes great care of you and the bartender makes delicious drinks, delicious food and excellent service. I came with my family but I'm only vegan and they had a delicious vegetable burger, thank you.

We decided to stop for a late lunch, before continuing on to South Tahoe for our Double Header Baseball Broadcast. My cameraman and I both had the Marinated Tri Tip sandwich, which was outstanding. Very fresh greens on the sandwich, and I had a side of Creamy Cheese Spicy Grits. Yes grits! They were also delicious. Not too many places you can find grits on the menu. I will definitely be back.?

I ordered take out hamburgers for myself and my son. Both burger buns were burnt. They tried justify it the grill will leave some charred on the bun. The photo I attached says it all. It was completely burnt, my bun was too but nearly as bad. Girl keep just putting down the phone and asking me to hold for minutes. I’ll probably never return to this place for food.

The food was really good but my bread pudding (that I got to go) to my surprise when I got home I opened it and it was so burnt. Basically way over cooked burnt toast. Love too far too drive back but the entree was really good.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty bummed. The last time I ordered from Sonneys everything was overcooked, so I haven't ordered in months, but yesterday I was just craving their wings so bad so decided to try again. First, the wings were awesome. The onion rings weren't crisp but the flavor was good. The bummed part came with my takeout total. When I looked them up online, the menu said $12 for wings and $10 for onion rings, so ordered three orders of wings and one onion ring. Figured about $50. Nope, over $70! Wings have shot up to $18.50 per order for 7 wings! Come on, I know food prices are up but that's crazy. I'm a local who recommends places to eat all the time to visitors and Sonneys was always in my list, but damn, price jumps like that are gonna kill more restaurants.

Ordered my food at 6:20, and was told at 10 minutes after 8 o'clock, that they did not have any brisket left for me. No dinner for me. My husband got served his dinner at half past 7.

My husband and I visited this establishment a month back and it was FABULOUS! The ribs were huge, meaty and perfectly done! We couldn't wait to return with friends and family! We ate there last night...with my parents and another couple, it was sooooo disappointing! They were out of brisket completely and there was only ONE baby back order available! So we adjusted our order accordingly. My parents sharing the full baby back rib order, the other couple choosing full rack St Louis style. After a lengthy wait, we received MOST of our order, minus my onion rings and my husband's beer... The ribs on both orders were charred black and DRY! The baby backs were almost impossible to bite into! I didn't think their Cole slaw was anything to write home about the FIRST time we ate there, so I opted for salad instead. The salad had great components...but the lettuce was limp. I had raved to my parents about the great bbq here and it was embarrassing, to say the least, to see them gamely trying to find something to eat off their rib bones! Perhaps the food is good on SOME occasions....but this inconsistency in quality makes it hard to plan a return visit!
