The food was good. Service was good. Great selection of items on the menu. Too chilly to sit outside that evening. Patio area has a view of the marina and lake

The food was lovely and Travis and the team were all so friendly and helpful. We had a great time. I came all the way from London and was super happy with Tahoe and my time there

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food! I had the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken and a wonderful side salad with crumbled blue cheese dressing. Top quality ingredients and reasonable prices! I also enjoyed a lemon drop. My favorite

We enjoyed our meals very much, everything came out hot and fresh with flavor. We had excellent service as well! Happy hour drinks are about $8/piece average. Wish the bushes were cut lower so you had a lake view. But overall, this would have been 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive ($100 for 2 entrées and 4 happy hour drinks plus tip).

I’m honestly shocked this place has a 4.4-star rating. This was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing dining experiences my husband and I have had.

We started with the bruschetta and ahi tacos. The bruschetta came with barely a teaspoon of mozzarella and just two cherry tomato halves, on what was essentially warmed garlic bread. It was underwhelming to say the least. The ahi tacos weren’t any better, the only redeeming part was the pickled ginger served on the side.

For our entrees, we ordered the ribeye steak cooked medium rare, but what arrived was completely well-done. At $47, this was unacceptable. It was served over mashed potatoes and gravy, which felt more like a cafeteria plate than a fine dining presentation. The asparagus was the only thing that was prepared well.

On top of that, there’s no self-parking available, you’re required to valet for $7. When we went to retrieve our car, the staff simply handed us the keys without telling us where the vehicle was parked. We had to ask, and they just vaguely pointed in the direction.

Overall, the food was overpriced, poorly executed, and not worth the hype. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Alright I’ll be blunt. 1 star for scenery 2 for what the actual service (although it was a burden to get) I got. Got there, got seated no issue. Waited a solid 20 minutes for anyone to ask for drinks let alone check in. When a huge party came in and were sat next to me they got immediate service. I wasn’t the only one with this issue that day. It of course led to a complaint and the bartender went out his way to help. He went above and beyond to make it right. Which says a lot when the actual staff complete forgot we were there. Wish I knew his name so I can credit him. But the food when it got to us was amazing and the service FROM THE BARTENDER was phenomenal. Left him a big tip. He alone saved the experience and the restaurant.

My advice to the staff: work in sections. Everyone was everywhere helping everyone. I use to work at a restaurant. Not the way to go. One person per 4 tables. Give or take. Management….. where were you exactly? Are bus boys a thing? Tables were left dirty and the staff got distracted by those table over the people they sat down there that NEEDED the help.

I would come back though.
Again this is a friendly observation not an attack. I hope you guys can settle this.

Restaurant was empty on Saturday night because everyone else is at other restaurants so we decided to give it a try. My food was burned and excessively salty to say the least. The chef if you say must have dropped the salt by accident.

Had a lovely pre-Valentine’s dinner at Bear Moon Bar & Grill. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a quiet, intimate evening. Food was good with great service, beautiful setting, and just the right vibe for a special night. Would definitely go back!

I very rarely give 1 star but this place was not ok. I am not sure how it has 4.4 stars. We went the first week of October and ordered two entrees: Braised rib and the flautas. My first bite of the flautas was a mouthful of chopped onions. I did not want to keep eating it and had my husband try it to see if he would like to take it home. We both agreed it was not good and was something that would taste better at Taco Bell (not for $20+). Unfortunately I really do not like the texture of onions and I had to return the plate which the waiter was graciously helpful and took it back. I wouldn't have bothered the review if that was the only thing. My husbands braised ribs were nearly identical tasting to a tv dinner- the boneless meat, gravy, mashed potatoes were all very bland and mildly warm. He was just about done eating when he pulled a 2in HAIR out of his meat. This was a $35 plate. We didn't bother telling the waiter because we are pretty much done and wanted to leave before other places closed so I could pick something up to eat.
Also. Vallet is required.

TLDR: I would not recommend.
Cheap and bland tasting, hair, expensive, vallet.

Restaurant located in the Hilton hotel in the marina at the end of Ski Run Blvd. Small restaurant with good food and decent drinks. Not sure I would go again if I wasn't staying at the hotel.

Ok, first timers at South Lake Tahoe and stayed at the Hilton resort. Usually hotel restaurants are not super impressive and also overpriced. HOWEVER, The Bear Moon Bar and Grill FAR exceeded our expectations the very first night! We ended up eating there a second time and again, it was SO good. First night, hubby had the rib eye (he said it might literally be the best one he’s ever had) and so had the Southwest salad and added chicken.

I told him that for a salad, It was SO delicious and we both left very satisfied! We ate there a second time for a private party dinner and, again, were blown away at how good everything was! Mai Tai’s, chicken piccata over a creamy rice, prime rib and homemade peach cobbler were unreal. We would go back in the future for sure! Great food and phenomenal service too!
