I have nothing but great things to say about this place! Supreme location, and no matter where you sit -- inside or outside -- you can see the lake. The service is beyond friendly and accommodating. The food is quality and delicious. And, the wine has never disappointed! The most recent time I went I sat outside on a chilly day, and they even gave me a blanket to keep warm! Highly recommend!

Amazing view and atmosphere. Came in for pre dinner drinks and snacks for my bachelorette and they were so accommodating. Drinks and snacks were excellent, views and staff were amazing.

Quick Get away trip from San Francisco . Send the teens off to ski school, and we ended here at the The Idle water not too far from the busy vibes of Southlake Tahoe tourist area. Choose the Idler Hour’ Lakefront, atmosphere, with the great California has to offer and more Italianio wines. The bruschetta was great. We enjoyed it. Servers were friendly Attentive. It feels like we never left San Francisco plus the beautiful views

AMAZING HIDDEN GEMS!!!If you’re in Tahoe, this is a must.I can’t believe this place had been hidden from me for all this yearssss……Huge selection of wines. Great testing wine flights, and they don’t skimp on the portions ;)Look at the view this place has to offer. I could sit and enjoy good wine, good food and amazing view for hours.Don’t forget to order cheese fondue Cheer ?

We hosted our wedding reception at the Idle Hour and cannot say enough great things about Chris! He was incredibly responsive, detail oriented, and communicated well with all of our other vendors. There was an unexpected change with the usual downstairs Event Center, so we hosted our reception on the main floor as a private event (the first of this kind at Idle Hour). The team was very positive, attentive to our needs, and willing to be flexible to accommodate our 65 guests. And did I mention the VIEWS? This place is unparalleled for watching the sunset and is absolutely gorgeous for golden hour photos. Can't wait to come back here and enjoy a flight at our favorite spot on the lake. Idle Hour will always be a special place for us thanks to Chris and his team!
