My husband and I have been going to the Lake House since 2017. It's our favorite date-night restaurant. I was sad to hear that they are closing now. We will really miss it. It is one of THE best restaurants in all of South Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Reno.

Felt some degree of racism/discrimination. We were the only Asian patrons the entire dining time. Waited half hour for our food to arrive when the adjacent table next to us got their food, took their time eating, finished well before our food came. Other tables were attended to more regularly.

Unfortunately our experience was underwhelming. The rib eye was tough and undercooked for medium, the Yukon gold mashed potatoes were lumpy. The chicken Marsala was not flavorful, the chicken cutlet was much too large to be tender. The parties near us were so loud, we could not speak in normal tones. Celebrating our anniversary, we received a complimentary dessert, again the cheesecake was not up to par. The only saving grace was our server, Karina who was attentive and pleasant.

We were really looking forward to a great dining experience. We ordered Escargot. Visually it looked amazing. Unfortunately it had zero flavor. Zero! The butter used had to have been a butter substitute. We sent it back. My dinner looked delicious. Again, no flavor. Large scallops and shrimp. So disappointed. My husband's dinner isn't worth commenting about. The waitress was attentive and did a great job!
Food was bland. No flavor whatsoever. Ordered filet mignon medium well. Came very rare. Shrimp had no flavor. Food took forever to come. Ordered desserts to-go only to find out when we got home that they gave us the wrong desserts.

Intimate and charming. ~ a small restaurant with food that packs a huge wallop. Every bite was heavenly. The portions were generous and we ordered the mixed green and wedge salads, lobster chowder and lamb chops. I would recommend them all. It will definitely be a must every time we visit South Lake Tahoe. ♥️

There is lots to love about The Lake House. Their Lobster Chowe=der ws delicious and filled one's mouth with abundant flavors. Their seasonal salad was a beautiful balance of lettuces, chopped veggies, pecorino cheese and included wonderful pine nuts. The Duck was wonderful, but slightly overdone and still flavorful. The presentation was very good. The asparagus was cooked yet crisp. The dessert - "Death by Chocolate" was wonderful. The lake house is on our list of places to repeat each year we are in South Lake Tahoe.

My salad had lettus that was turning brown. All our dishes for each person were not delivered to the table at the same time. Wine was served after I was half way finished with my meal. Very expensive

Everything in Lake Tahoe feels very… touristy. Not this place. It was a quant restaurant close to all the good stuff in South Lake Tahoe, but away from the touristy vibe the town can have. Their service was exceptional. Our waitress, Adonica, was so friendly and had great recommendations when it came to the menu. The food portions were perfect and everything tasted great! Get their ceviche, lobster chowder, and lamb chops. Amazing!

Lovely dinner with my son and his girlfriend. The crab spinach artichoke appetizer was the best thing to share and it set the tone for the rest of the food. It was all delicious and service was perfect. Highly recommend for any occasion when you're seeking a high quality dinner in beautiful surroundings.
I went to the lake house tonight for dinner , When I first walked in I was kindly greeted by the gentleman behind the bar he was very nice and welcoming and said the hostess would be right with me . The hostess lily was very sweet and seated me in the bar area which was completely fine with me . I already knew what I wanted when I first walked in .so I ordered a beer first , then I ordered the ribeye , when it came out it was cooked perfectly the way I ordered . Props to the cooks well done . I was very impressed with the quality of service from all the staff including lily she was my waitress as well . I will be back to enjoy the quality of the food and service. And will recommend it to all my friends and family. It's nice to have a good place to eat while staying away from home working ....thanks again for the wonderful service

We've been wanting to go here forever and finally made it happen. The food and wine is delicious. We recommend sitting outside if the weather permits. Great date night or special occasion spot.

Everything is perfect, great food, ambience and service, have a good selection of wine as well. Will definitely dine again here when we come visit Lake Tahoe and will recommend to friends and family. Only bad thing is when a bunch of gen Z diners seated right next to us and they are LOUD, but that was inevitable, we still enjoyed our dinner.

Our experience at The Lake House Tahoe was mostly positive. All were most welcoming of our party and the service was friendly and prompt. The menu displayed a good bit of variety with many tempting choices; our vegan guest actually could choose from two items. The food was quite good if not absolutely amazing. The dining room got rather noisy, towards the end extremely so. While the restaurant is not entirely responsible for the boisterousness of the revelers seated near us, it definitely detracted from the overall experience.

Good food nice place, should serve some type of salad and bread with a meal of that price. Also should be able to have a nice cocktail when I go out for a nice steak, not just beer and wine.
