The Red Hut Café

The bacon waffle is great! And the service even better!

We enjoyed Red Hut for a 'brunch' morning meal. Eggs, hash browns, pancakes, french toast all nice and refills for tea and coffee too. The service was attentive enough and the decor felt traditional and homely which we liked. The portions are large (as expected!) but we were given a box to takeaway our leftovers. Overall - simple fare done well.

Excellent service, great food, and convenient location. We visited twice during our vacation and the server not only remembered us, but she remembered every detail of our previous order down to the little requests like, "no butter on the waffles," or "extra crispy hash browns." The staff were so friendly and fast. Try the jalapeño bacon, it's super flavorful!!

Kid-friendliness: The kids loved the menu with crayons, hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles, and some of the fun merchandise. Pretty big menu for a kid’s menu with lots of options.

Breakfast sandwich with bacon was crispy and tasty. Healthy side of crispy hash browns. Good environment and atmosphere inside. A solid breakfast spot with great service. Pick up a coffee or Boba tea to go next door!

The staff is very very friendly but I didn't really care for the food very much because it was bland and they only put cheese in my omelette I said American cheese and they still gave me cheddar no onions or anything in my omelette but just cheese and bacon. Also did not give me any jelly for my toast. I thought they just put that in there in a standard when you have a chance with your breakfast but okay. But I say again they were very friendly and welcoming.

Best breakfast in town!!! If anyone disagrees they're tastebuds are trash and they don't know what they're talking about. Chef for 15+ years tried every restaurant around here and never has anyone come close to you guys! & best prices around.

This is the 3rd Red Hut I've eaten in over 4 decades of visiting South Lake Tahoe. As always, the food is wonderful, while servings are big enough for 2 to share or to take home for the next morning.

Food is awesome but it’s pretty expensive for pancake, bacon and eggs. The average is $18. The bacon was particularly delicious, eggs are okay and pancake was nice and fluffy.
