Very disappointing and disrespectful experience

I asked if the kitchen could make an omelet with pico de gallo — which simply includes tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers or jalapeños. The waitress said she would check, but her tone and comment about the restaurant being “all-American” felt rude and dismissive. I found that very insulting. I enjoy trying new places and supporting local restaurants, but this experience made me feel unwelcome just for asking about a common mix of fresh ingredients. I hope management addresses this, because all customers should be treated with respect, no matter their cultural background or food preferences.

Friendly service, attentive. Mediocre food. The sad excuse of an omelette they have me didn’t even have the eggs mixed up. Looked like someone messed us some fried eggs, threw some cheese on it, and tried to pass it off as an omelette.

We went here for breakfast and already had a long line before our side. Luckily upon having the counter bar side available, we took that side so that we don’t have to wait for another long time.

Eggs Benedict 19.50
Omelette with Ham and Cheese 18.00
Coffee 6. 50
Overall with Tips $57.41

We thought the host of the cafe was attentive and friendly alongside Francis - she’s a very warm, attentive, and loving lady who also recommended us to try their special Eggs Benedict.

The Waitress took our order for us starting with coffee, Eggs Benedict, and Omelette with Ham and Cheese. Each meal served with hash browns, and mine came with an English muffin too.

We waited probably around 10-12mins, the Eggs Benedict came a bit later but not that much different from a wait.

What we loved about their breakfast, both weren’t too overpowering with flavours. And that we can simply add condiments when we want to.

The only downside was the coffee no kick of strong, bold and good flavour and aroma from the coffee - we felt just drinking flavoured drink. Also the ambience which can be a bit noisy around, especially, we came during the peak hours.

We want to give compliments to the staff, the cooks, and the overall service. We’re very pleased with the food. And special mention to Francis, her enthusiasm and energetic presence added value to the Red Hut Cafe.

Happy to come back and recommend 🤗

I do not recommend this place. The worker taking orders is completely absent minded, the barista is a huffy cranky individual. So today at 9:13 am two young females were making constant errors on a simple order of 8oz cupachino by ringing in the next size up which I corrected her on and than when presented a bill, refused to return the change. I called her out on both issues and her counterpart the barista started slamming her cups and utensils in an angry manner and shaking her damn head. I said I want my money back and that acting that way is totally unprofessional.

Ordered bacon and cheese omelette. Bacon was really delicious, crispy and crunchy. The vibe of the place is of a breakfast place with families and friends buzzing around. Everyone seemed happy. My measure for a good place. Of course the lake views from certain tables are a plus.

A good ole fashioned diner that still serves real food. Their proprietary waffle batter was good, the bacon was legit bacon, not the microwave stuff. And the staff was attentive and friendly.
